★★★★★ The legendary (if media-propagated) Brat Pack proved to be an intrinsic part of 80s pop culture, and was a movement which grew primarily out of the films of John Hughes. The Michigan-born filmmaker enjoyed an incredibly prolific run in a relatively short time, but it was his seminal work The Breakfast Club (now celebrating its 30th anniversary) which stood out from the rest of the titles and really put him on the map as a key on-screen chronicler of teen angst. Finding a place within the hearts of subsequent teenagers and referenced much later (and most glaringly) by Dawson's Creek creator Kevin Williamson, The Breakfast Club has, happily, stood the test of time.

Justin Tranter may have known who he was meant to be since the age of 14, but the music of Semi Precious Weapons is still catching up with his creative vision. Evolving from an underground glam rock sound to sing-a-long alternative rock, the edgy four-member band released their third album Aviation last week in debut style, re-introducing themselves to fans.
After a packed house album release last week at Hollywood’s swanky Sayer’s Club (which Tranter describes as “a secret club with the best sound in the world”), Semi Precious Weapons played an Alt 98.7 rooftop private listening party for contest winners at La’s Sunset Towers this past Wednesday.
If you were there, here’s what you would have seen…
Coming out on stage to chat with radio personality Trey Morgan, lead singer Justin Tranter tells the crowd how it came to be that Semi Precious Weapons opened for Lady Gaga...

(Cbr) Tom Hiddleston isn’t in the "Avengers" sequel, so perhaps he’ll plague "Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." instead. The Loki actor spoke with Crave Online about appearing in the upcoming ABC televisin series, saying, “It would be something that would depend upon script and story but yeah, of course.” Finding a place for the god of mischief makes sense, given his role in “killing” Agent Phil Coulson in "The Avengers". Hiddleston said he’s talked with "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D". co-creator Joss Whedon about the small-screen project already, so speculate away. Another topic worth speculating about: the continued involvement of Cobie Smulders as "S.H.I.E.L.D." higher-up Maria Hill....

The Three Amigos will become the Four Amigos on Breaking Bad this Sunday, much to the chagrin of Saul Goodman.
With Mike agreeing to join drug-dealing forces with Walt and Jesse on last week's terrific "Madrigal," the new team will push forward with their operation on "Hazard Pay." Their first order of business? Finding a place to cook.
Saul will try to help with that, but first he has to grow a pair and accept Mike as a client. Watch this sneak peek at the episode and then return to TV Fanatic as soon as it concludes for my detailed review...

The Voice S01E16: "Live Quarter-Final Performances"
Finding a place to watch The Voice this week proved to be quite the challenge, which, in a small way, made the performances a little sweeter. Long story short, I went to Cleveland for the weekend and at the last minute, decided to stay an extra day because Cleveland is a modest utopia built of fun with a large collection of utterly insane intersections (is a...
