How'd the show hold up for its entire first half?! This is crazy.

Josh continues his selfish behavior as he tries to escape Schmigadoon on his own, by trying to get the single women of the town to fall in love with him. The bridge is the symbol where those who are actually in love can find a way out. We don't know this, but Josh thinks it is so. I can't begin to express my appreciation at the continuing quality of the musical numbers and the professionalism behind them. Josh angers his former squeeze by his selfishness. Kristen Chenoweth has the role as the minister's wife and she is a joyless virago. We haven't seen her talents in the three episodes so far. One harsh reality is that she has it in for the young couple, and makes sure there is no place for them to stay. They have been expelled from their rooms at the hotel. There is a great scene at the home the Mayor where his wife talks about how queer he is (having nothing to do with sexual orientation--just that he is odd). Beautiful voice and really fun lyrics. I could go on.
