- Mike Scarlatti: [sees Parker walk in, take out his earpiece and motion to him to do the same - nervously] What's up?
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: You tell me.
- Mike Scarlatti: Uh... I don't... know. Busy... working.
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: Coming out of my house this morning and two high-ranking security agents want to take me out for coffee.
- Mike Scarlatti: Oh, that.
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: Yeah, that. They want to talk to me about you.
- Mike Scarlatti: It's not what you think.
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: No?
- Mike Scarlatti: No.
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: [sighs] Okay. We'll pick this up later
- Jules Callaghan: So, Michelangelo, International Man of Mystery?
- Mike Scarlatti: He told you?
- Jules Callaghan: Yeah.
- Mike Scarlatti: He's not happy.
- Jules Callaghan: He doesn't like to see the family break up.
- Mike Scarlatti: Tell me about it.
- Jules Callaghan: But he's proud of you.
- Mike Scarlatti: Really?
- Jules Callaghan: Federal agency seeks you out? That's a big deal.
- Mike Scarlatti: Yeah?
- Jules Callaghan: Yeah.
- Mike Scarlatti: [smiling] Yeah. Thanks Jules.
- Mike Scarlatti: I've been thinking. You know, it's not like by the middle of next month they'll have found all the international bad guys and I'll have missed my chance. A guy can stay pretty busy keeping the peace in his own backyard.
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: I told them, Michelangelo Scarlatti, code name "Spike" is a disgrace to the force. I mean, he cracks under pressure, can't shoot his way out of a paper bag, he can't be trusted with sensitive information on a surprise party, let alone national security, he can't type if his life depended on it. No wait, that's what I wanted to say.
- Mike Scarlatti: Boss they were headhunting me. Okay no it's not like...
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: I mean you get to see the world, international intrigue, young guy like you, right? Just when you make the choice Spike, I will support it.
- Robert Cooper: [holding Dru at gunpoint] That's a lot of money you got there.
- Grady Steele: Who the hell are you? You want it? It's yours. Just let him go.
- Robert Cooper: You must make a good living.
- Grady Steele: $50,000. All yours. Just let him go and walk out that door.
- Robert Cooper: Is that all your brother's life is worth to you, hmm? 50 grand?
- Grady Steele: I can give you whatever you want.
- Robert Cooper: Whatever I want, huh?
- Grady Steele: Name it.
- Robert Cooper: I want my brother back.
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: [on radio] Team One, turns out our Good Samaritan is armed.
- Ed Lane: Got I.D.?
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: Not yet, but he may be going after the same target as you.
- Ed Lane: So, what, we got some citizen trying to be a vigilante?
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: Looks that way.
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: [in vehicle with Ed] Vigilante?
- Ed Lane: What would you call him?
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: Some guys try to intimidate a local businessman. This guy steps up, fights back. I'd call him a good citizen.
- Ed Lane: A good citizen... in pursuit with a firearm.
- Leah Kerns: I'm going to apologize to Wordy. He's got a real connection to this place. I didn't need to push.
- Sam Braddock: Word of advice for the rookie from the last one. When I joined the team, I made a lot of mistakes, I did my share of apologizing, but the one thing I never had to apologize for was speaking my mind. You see something you think affects the call, like your general impression of a neighborhood based on professional experience, you say it.
- Ed Lane: Wordy, you got something to say, spit it out.
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: We protect drug dealers now?
- Ed Lane: We keep the peace.
- Grady Steele: The cops are always going to be after us, Dru. The trick is not to panic. When you panic, you make mistakes.
- Ed Lane: [after Robert opened fire on the SRU from inside the house] I'm done listening. We're going in. Immediate action.
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: I think he's trying to force our hand, get us to storm in and end this.
- Ed Lane: Okay, that makes sense. That makes sense, he's never shot to kill before.
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: He wants us to do it for him.
- Sgt. Gregory Parker: No one's dying today.
