Forget the sex, focus on the pilots.
Hans-5619 August 2010
A soft core movie of people having sex on board of a plane en route in the USA. The sex is soft core, but director and actors try to convince us it is hardcore. The way they do is this so clumsily, so ridiculous that one has to laugh. But it is all totally uninteresting. Makes you wonder why this movie was ever made.

So, should you ignore this movie? No! There are the scenes in which the pilots are preparing for take off. Later shorter scenes of the pilots flying. These are all hilarious! Nothing, and I really mean nothing, makes any sense. One example of their conversations, just after engine 1 started. Captain: 'Start engine 2' Co-pilot: "Where is the button?" Captain: "How should I know? Try That one." Co-pilot: "Engine two is working." Captain: "Now switch on number 3, or 4, or 5, whichever you prefer." It really is great. I watched that scene a couple of times and it became better and better. Just watch the first 15 minutes of this movie and you are in for a treat, then forget about the rest of this movie, for it is not worth your while.

Because of the first 15 minutes I rate this 4 out of 10.

Digard Soft-core

Affair in the Air (1970)

** (out of 4)

Extremely silly but mildly entertaining soft-core flick has a man and woman meeting on a plane and deciding to have some sex. Lucky for them there are also two male pilots as well as two female stewardess (one played by Uschi Digard). If you're looking for some sort of great story or Oscar-winning acting then you're not going to find it here. What you will find is an escape from recent film and thrown back to a time where this type of thing could be seen in a theater with others just looking for some mild trash. This film doesn't have anything overly special about it with the exception of Digard who is quite easy on the eyes. She wears a sexy purple outfit that perfectly shows off her body and has one sex scene with the female passenger played by Sandy Carey. Digard only goes topless so those looking for more will have to look elsewhere. The scene together is pretty erotic even though at times it seems Digard isn't overly interested in what's going on. The sex scenes are all simulated so that gives them an ultra silly vibe because of how fake their look. We get a lot of nudity so if that's all you want then you'll get it here. The film also goes for some laughs with the idiot pilots who manage to get the plane in the air yet they don't know how to operate anything. Seeing them smoking a joint is another item that can only come from the 70s.
