This episode is basically a rehash of season 1. Marcus accidentally knocks up Becca despite not being in love with her, similar to how Augie knocked up Darby despite them not being in love. And like Augie and Darby, Marcus and Becca try to make it work. While watching this episode, I just kept thinking I had already seen all of this in season 1. Like, really, they couldn't come up with anything other storylines to explore? Like there are so many different love stories out there, and not all pregnancies are accidents. I mean, I get it that it happens, but it is weird that they would have two completely different characters go through the exact same situation. I will give the show writers props for slightly switching up the formula by having a somewhat surprise ending. However, I don't relate to Markus the way I did with Darby. William Jackson Harper is a good actor, but I don't find his character interesting or relatable at all. Also, the show seems to have lost its humor. Season 1 had tragic moments but also had some really funny moments. This season it is just drama. At least Darby will return in the next set of episodes that are released. But I doubt a cameo from Anna will be enough to turn this season around. #bringDarbyback.
