Was long considered lost until posted on YouTube by Steven Paul Leiva in 2015. Leiva had helped pitch the film in the early 1980s.
Producer Gary Kurtz optioned the rights, but the project never secured financing. The 1980s were slump period for animation, where even Disney films bombed (i.e. The Black Cauldron (1985)) and non-Disney films were low-budget promotions for toylines (i.e. The Care Bears Movie (1985), The Transformers: The Movie (1986)).
