Now we know who Ayinla was!
ngandacinema8 October 2023
Ayinla was a beautiful experience to discover Apala music from the comforts of our home.

We were immersed in the culture and got a good understanding of who Ayinla was; job well done.

DELICIOUS

-So...most of us know Lateef Adedimeji for being a joker in all his movies, but in this film, oh my goodness, he was unrecognizable😅 He purely captured the artistic spirit of Ayinla

-No criticism on the old-fashioned art direction; it was a careful execution

-The screenplay really drew us into Ayinla's world: we got to know about his likes/dislikes, food, songwriting process, interests, ambitions, etc.

The inclusion of different parties such as the reporters, the promoting agency, and his fans/well-wishers diversified the narrative

-Ayinla cautioned us to be sober and vigilant in life, make informed decisions, as well as know the people we allow within our inner circle

BLAND

-The audio, the audio, the audio was not refined; it gave off a speaker sound effect that was quite disrupting at times

-The constant fading transition was a bit much from scene to scene.

Ayinla, being a musical, could have tremendously benefited from artistic editing and cinematography in order to maintain the flow.

Tunde Kelani, the man in the class of his own, consistently delivering excellence.

#Ayinla, the #production of the Master Visual storyteller, altered the course of my emotion, bringing past into the present, layer upon layer, he unfolds the work and life of the great #Apala icon who was gone before I was born.

Such a visual metaphor, soothing to the interior emotional state and impactful to the mind.

Thanks for your right depiction of Yoruba culture in your works. You are indeed a great #panafricanist

Great job, You are indeed a National Pride.

Not publicized, advertised enough!

Warning: Spoilers
This is almost the best thing I've seen in nollywood. Speaking of grabbing every attention out of the details. Ayinla Omowura died long before I exist but I yearn to exist when he did, for this movie.

This brings culture back to my mind. I never knew we had something this interesting in our history, culture as Yorubas.

I would be glad the man, Ayinla, stayed alive but fate would have things differently.

Thanks to the producer and every actor of the movie. I'm definitely telling all my Elders to watch this, I confidently believe they're going to relate incredibly, with nostalgia.

Now, here comes the deal, why did this movie not get enough publicity and advertisements? Why did it take till now before I got to know about it? It's bad there's interest thing like this out there and we're getting to know too late.

I really want to start seeing movies that tell the stories of our past heroes in close details like this, and publicized and advertised so much.
