What is the price of truth?
plumikii15 August 2022
What is the price of truth? The movie greatly details this question through the lenes of the characters of the island and the police who are trying to find the answer to the mystery. The movie subverts expectations in interesting ways. Though the running time of the movie, you will question yourself, is the truth worth all of the effort. The search for one single truth leads to the destructions of so many lives. None of the characters other than the criminal, are portrayed in single black or white. They all have their own agendas and concerns, but at the end of the day are just people trying to live their lives. To a younger audience the portrayal of the islanders may seem a bit jarring, and some might find them repulsive as well, but that comes from a limited perspective of people, and how they are in real life.

The acting could have been better. Actors shine in some moments, but overall two out of the three leading men, are a hit and a miss in most scenes. Similarly, the cast has some performers, who are natural, and some over acting.

The background score is gripping and aids the scenes without being overly intrusive.

The movie has a very interesting twist (layered) in the very last ten minutes, which despite not being the theme during the running minutes of the movie, add up nicely.

It is not the best movie. Or the worst movie. But a worthwhile watch at least once.

Curses of truth and social harmony
tasnimmosa15 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Can social harmony turn into a curse? Perhaps yes, when the hopes of the inhabitants of a poor village depend on one person who will be their savior and savior from poverty and suffering, Keita is forced to kill a criminal who tried to assault his infant daughter And he did not know what to do, so he tried to hide his crime, and after the villagers knew, they sympathized with him and tried to mislead the police and hide the crime in various ways, because he is the only one who can help them overcome poverty. Is it all worth it?

What is the most important and most valuable? Is knowledge of the truth or harmony between the people of the village and their trust in Keita?? Did the villagers make a mistake in pinning all their hopes on one person instead of working to help themselves? Is the police here good or bad?

All these questions are discussed in the film in a wonderful way through the amazing performance of the actors, led by Fujiwara Tatsuya in the role of Keita, and the script was also in a good rhythm between excitement and calm, so it does not cause boredom or rush too much.

All in all, the movie is very wonderful, and I waited a long time until I was able to watch it with Arabic subtitles. Thank you to all the makers of this wonderful movie.
