Spoiler Alert: The Story of Millions Covered in 14 Minutes
lakishalouissaint22 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I am so grateful for Lacora Stephens writing and directing this film. She has managed to tell the story of millions of little girls and boys in fourteen minutes. If only she had been a director when I was going through this. Her bravery to be the voice of reason will allow millions of little girls and boys to be able to sleep better at night knowing that someone out their is speaking on the behalf.

As a writer and film maker, 7 Sharp brought healing to my soul knowing that someone bravely became my Story Telling Advocate. This film deserves several awards. Job well done LaCora Stephens.

Something sinister

A great example of creating a mood and letting your actors deliver the goods. Not all is explained, the rest is left for the dark corners of your imagination.

The Conversation!!
robmitch200222 September 2021
It is very refreshing to see stories told in a real way to bring empowerment for the voiceless. This short film covered all bases and had me on edge for more. I love where it is going and these stories need to be told. I loved the realness of the storyline. Hopefully this makes it to the Big Screen and forces more families to have "The Conversation". Kudos to the Cast and all involved .. Pat yourselves on the back.

Great short

Warning: Spoilers
Dark family secrets. The kind that no one wants to discuss, the ones that change and color every holiday from times to make memories to occasions that make one dread every exchange, eggshells strewn amongst the gathering.

Gammy (Aloma Wright, Scrubs) and her daughter Charlene (Andrea Bennett) have one of those secrets to deal with. And this movie gives a unique look into - in the filmmaker's words - "how the black experience sometimes deals with secrets and trauma."

So how do you break a cycle? Is it through more violence? More deceit? Subterfuge?

And what does mixing the perfect glass of lemonade have to do with all of this?

Director and writer LaCora Stephens has done what every short should: tell enough of the story to leave you wanting more, hungry for what happens next, interested by where these characters go next.

Love the opening of the scrip and I was captured by the storyline. When it ended I had questions and needed more, as I tried to guess what would happen next. You got my attention, so I look forward to seeing your full film.
