Loved this
abates-0498528 December 2022
I'm a cook, by hobby. I love kitchens and loved this show. Gave me lots of new ideas and inspirations. The joy for architecture, interior design and cooking, come together in this, docu-series. My 3 passions. I Hope more shows like this are made. The cinematography was beautiful. I could feel the rooms, wallpaper, appliances, etc. Well done with the filming. The calming feeling (calm music, laid back feel ) of the film kept me watching. This was tastefully done. Didn't feel like someone was trying to sell me something or a competition or game show. It also didn't get too far from the actual theme of the show. Some shows get too deep into the lives of the people, rather than what the show/film is about.

Please bring this show a season two and more!
txriverotter23 July 2022
Love this show! Highlighting beautiful kitchens of all shapes and sizes, they spend time showcasing how the work is done and great shots of the finished kitchen.

There's no phony filler here; it's all craftspeople plying a trade that's more passion than job. I love watching the individuals in the shop working on various parts and pieces of each kitchen they create.

And there wasn't a single kitchen that I didn't love. Even those that weren't my style at all, there was such a great cross of beauty and functionality in each one.

I really hope season two comes out soon, and I'm looking forward to many more seasons to come!

Breath of fresh air

This show has been a long time coming. The design oriented television show lineup for the last couple of decades has been a sea of cheap painted particle board, while this show stands out like the timeless, crafted and quality craft that it is. There is no silly instagram girlie who wants to paint everything black. There is no Susie homemaker who wants everything trendy. And there is no cheapskate who will only purchase the low bid item or labor. FTLOK is a show about using quality and timeless pieces and people to create spaces that actually mean something. Spaces that will no be ripped out and sent to the land fill in a decade. Bravo for doing it right, staying out of the mass produced markets, and having a point of view. Love it and will watch more and more.

Timeless Craftsmanship

This show is such a delightful look into how kitchens are made the 'old' way. No big conflict, no major drama, just a group of talented folks making beautiful things. A perfect escape when life feels too complicated!

As a long time fan of deVOL, it is so lovely to be able to gain an insight into the day to day workings of the company. All of the kitchens featured are so different and it's wonderful to see how they fit into lots of different homes. This programme provides so much inspiration, I love it!

Beautiful and Fascinating

This is such a lovely show that plays like a love letter to artisans, creatives and all who love superb craftsmanship. I have enjoyed every episode, with each kitchen and home being completely different. I really enjoyed the addition of American projects along with the UK. Above all, I have been fascinated by the design, creation and implementation process of each piece and how they are incorporated into these beautiful projects. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who loves the artistic process. When their book was released earlier this year, I absolutely needed a copy, it is equally as beautiful. Helen Parker, you are my spirit animal!

Exceptional and Original So Inspiring
zensolutionsfengshui9 October 2023
The best program EVER aired in the home decor era! Original and so inspiring! The relationships between all the designers, artisans and homeowners is incredible and unique! I love that each episode not only goes through the design process with their clients but that there is a new business creative project as well.

I'm so tired of the Canadian and American design shows that spending 45 minutes in demo and nothing on the reveal.

For The Love of Kitchens is refreshing and has raised the bar for all home decor shows!

Beyond incredible and Absolutely Unique. Looking forward to many more seasons of For The Love of Kitchens.

Timeless and beautiful Kitchens
chefpaulinha11 December 2023
I love this show so much!

The level of craftsmanship from the team it's exceptional.

Helen Parker, Paul O'Leary and Robin McLellan are the dream team.

From big historical buildings to small cottages, a DeVol kitchen will fit any space, and fit every style.

I fell in love with this program since the very beginning, probably because the team is so humble and so extremely professional and good at their craft.

Every episode it's a gift, very well made and beautifully photographed. My wish is someday to have a DeVol kitchen.

We need more seasons, two were not enough. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone on this one.

Magnolia Network we need "For The Love of Kitchens" back on TV , please!!

Love this show!
eajbulldawg16 April 2024
I really loved this show and the DeVol kitchen designs. As someone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen, I was completely obsessed with all of the gorgeous and often simple kitchens. Both Helen and Paul have a really good eye for design.

I would agree with another reviewer who mentioned that the show remained true to it's purpose. It thankfully did not delve into the personal lives of the show hosts or their clients. It was all about the kitchens.

I am very disappointed in Magnolia Network for not renewing it for a 3rd season. This show was a refreshing change from most of the home improvement shows on television now.

Best show on the Magnolia Network!
tjgggc16 April 2024
I absolutely love this show! Helen and Paul are wonderful to watch. I really love how they explain the behind the scenes to designing these gorgeous kitchens! And a secret garden! This show isn't just about H&P; they deep dive into the different artists that work within their old mill. They show you how to make pottery, door knobs and even tile! Paul rocks the best flannel shirts! And Helen is amazing with decorating and staging spaces. This show is just a feel good show. Nothing bad or negative. It really is a wonderful thing to watch with the entire family. Plus it's a great way to get fresh ideas for future home improvement projects!

Brilliant series. A must watch.
patriciaacarroll16 April 2024
This is a brilliant series that offers a rare view into artistry and craftsmanship so rarely seen these days. They provide thoughtful insight into how to think about our living and working spaces as evolving alongside how we live.

It is a must see to understand how to make your space, whatever its purpose, work for you and others with whom you share it, from color to form and function. The furniture and accessories...lighting, ceramics, et al...are beautiful.

Hopefully it gets picked up for another season, somewhere. I would really love to see more deVOL content across all their products and services.

Best home improvement series I've seen yet
lancekeeth10 January 2024
I fell in love with this show from the very first episode...

Filled with extraordinary talent and a passion for doing things right; Paul, Helen, and their team of craftsmen opened my eyes to the beauty and history of traditional English kitchens.

Set in the UK, 'Devol' takes shape at a beautifully repurposed mill. They hand craft just about everything they use in their kitchen designs. From lighting and cabinetry, down to sinks and hardware, they cut no corners. Instead, they embrace traditional methods of design and construction.

I love the tone of the show, it's such a pleasure to watch likeminded people doing what they love.

It's absolutely a show I re-visit over and over. I look forward to seeing more episodes develop in the near future.

Where design fantasy and reality meet
curlyqkitchen20 April 2024
This show is my absolute favorite design show. It embraces a movement that I think has been a long time coming where we go back to thoughtful, original, handcrafted elements coming together spectacularly in a room. I can't watch another design show where the go to elements are a variation of white and gray. This show inspires one to dream and push their design ideas.

I was very disappointed to hear Magnolia network was not going to renew the show for a third season. I think For the Love of Kitchens represents all of the tenants of the network. I hope they will reconsider. Until then I will keep watching re/runs, dream about my (hopefully) future devol kitchen, and make it my mission to visit their showrooms.

DO NOT CANCEL!
mjngvttq17 April 2024
This is my favorite design show ever! I love Helen and Paul and the whole Devol team. Helen is gorgeous and her and Paul have such sweet intersections on screen.

I also love seeing how the different artisans design and create unique pieces.

My favorite is maybe how each episode they visit another project Devil has completed or an historic home for inspiration.

So show is so thoughtful and lovely! The designs are so different than most shows and are unique in a special way. I love the no drama way the show is presented. Plus, it's in England! So many great historic homes and the countryside is fantastic! Please keep this show!!!! I cannot even believe you would consider canceling!!!!

Delicious decor
elbrownsince17 April 2024
One of my favourite design shows of all time. I love the craftsmanship, the nod to the past when things were well made and thoughtfully designed. The unique kitchen designs are simply delicious! It's such a refreshing change from the usual bland and boring shows on offer. Helen, Paul and team are the best at proving even the smallest kitchen (and budget) can still be beautiful, functional and one of a kind. I also enjoy the behind the scenes look at the creative process and work that is put into designing new Devol products. This show deserves a third season. Please Magnolia network, we need more!

Bring it Back!
stephanie-sajjadieh9 November 2023
I have so enjoyed this program and have learned so much from watching the creative craftsmen and designers! I have enjoyed seeing the design concepts, prototypes, and finished products coming out of the DeVol studios. I have learned about space planning and photographing spaces. Even my partner who rolls his eyes at design programs has watched many episodes with me. Another aspect of the program that I enjoy is the strong relationship between Paul and Helen, as co-workers snd life partners. Their mutual respect and admiration is so inspiring and endearing. Please bring it back for a third season. Look at the strong reviews!

Fall in love with every detail
christijorde17 April 2024
This show reinvigorated me and I fell in love with all of the detail, craftsmanship, and talent within this incredible company! It's so nice to watch a design show that isn't pretentious in its work or its people. Love that there is a story of trial and error while the team continues to pursue educating themselves in their craft. Their designs are unique, charming, and full of life. Not your standard white/beige cookie cutter looks that feel unlivable and unrealistic. They honor the bones of a house & create unique aesthetics. I cannot get enough. I hope this show never ends! It's perhaps the best design show on TV!

Best house show on tv
pydytzkd17 March 2024
So enjoyed this series. Quality, timeless renovations. Mixture of lovely old items with new. Showing us how to create beautiful spaces for ourselves without always breaking the bank. Also loved them showing us how they make beautiful platters etc.and seeing other members of the team showing their skills. It was so nice to see them being made and how they are keeping the old traditional craftsmanship alive. The mill that is the showroom is stunning and totally idyllic. I find the whole program calming and therapeutic. Especially when Helen is speaking. Please do another series as it's the best of its kind out there.

Bring This Show Back
kateandlarrymesa17 April 2024
Of all the shows I've seen on home & craftsmanship, this was the most brilliant show. I couldn't stop watching it. I am disappointed that you are choosing to discontinue it. The details, the relationship factors, the design skills, lighting and look into old world craftsmanship in a new world design has changed the way I live my life. I know I'm just one voice, but I've been in love with design, and worked in it for many years, and this show is better than most that are being aired. I hope that you will reconsider your decision. If for no other reason than to add a touch of class to the home renovation trend.

Respectfully, Kate Mesa.

WE NEED SEASON 3
bsharpnotflat20 April 2024
This is my favorite show on Magnolia network. It's one of only three that I get truly excited for (Established Home and Diary of an old Home are my other two favorites). Ive rewatched it a dozen times. I even put it on as background noise when I'm doing chores around the house because, well, British accents. The filming, the design, the score - it's all absolutely lovely, and no one else is doing what DeVOL is doing or doing it better. Magnolia Network needs the culture, beauty, and destination that this show provides.

Please please please bring this show back for a third season and more. Us Anglophiles need our British fix on this network.

Loved the show, would love to see a series 3
jameshugsyhughes1 June 2024
I absolutely fell in love with "For the Love of Kitchens" by DeVOL Kitchens. This show is a dream come true for anyone who adores beautiful, well-crafted kitchens and wants a peek behind the scenes.

From the very first episode, I was hooked. The show dives into the heart of DeVOL's design process, revealing how they transform everyday spaces into stunning kitchens. It's amazing to see the dedication and passion of the DeVOL team, and getting to know the designers and craftsmen made me appreciate their work even more.

What really captivated me were the personal stories. Each kitchen project comes with a unique story, and seeing how these beautiful spaces change the lives of the homeowners is truly heartwarming. It reminded me that a kitchen is more than just a place to cook; it's the heart of the home where memories are made.

The show also offers gorgeous visuals. The finished kitchens are, of course, breathtaking, but the scenes of the English countryside and historic homes add a charming touch. It's like getting lost in a cozy, design-filled dream.

Most wonderful design show out there!
photobyjennajones7 February 2024
There is no other design show being made like For The Love of Kitchens. All the others are so cheesy but Helen and Paul and their team see all the special little details and bring you in and do such beautiful work. This show has inspired so much in my own home and I'm DYING for another season. I've watched each episode several times because there's only 2 seasons and I miss it. I really hope they make another season, it's such a special show.

I love the way they see things, how they take you to other beautiful homes and spaces and explore and get inspired. And I love how they show the process of how they make everything. So so special. A comfort show.

Brilliant lifestyle programme
rkrrhpffc16 April 2024
This programme has been brilliant. Not only has it the element of great design, craftsmanship and interiors, but also it has a calming and restful quality about it. It has been magical to watch how the company has been built and how it operate, getting to know the people who work their and their skills. It is set in beautiful surroundings, and it has been fun to see how the American side of things operate. Even getting to see the stunning Devol Kitchens in an American apartment and house. One of the best lifestyle programmes that has been aired for many years. Can not wait for the next series to drop.

Loved this show, please make a third season!
alice-3156317 April 2024
This is such a lovely cosy show. If you're interested in kitchen design and creative processes then this is for you. DeVol make the most beautiful high end kitchens and it's so interesting to watch the whole process and see all the creatives behind the different details and products, so sad there isn't going to be a third season, my absolute favourite home show! You get to see all the people behind the process, ceramicists, carpenters, metal workers, designers, these are no flat pack mass produced kitchens, I'm hoping to have one in my own home one day! Really hoping it gets picked up for a third season.
