“Sex Education” producer Eleven has set a new thriller series titled “I.D.” at Channel 4 written by Genevieve Barr (“The Silence”).
The eight-part mystery tells the story of a young deaf woman called Emily who spies her neighbor photographing her, which soon leads her on a journey into her own past. “This leads her to explore what she might have done to warrant this unwanted attention, while simultaneously beginning a dance with a stranger that is as exhilarating as it is dangerous,” reads the logline.
“I.D.” is described as a “love letter to being deaf.”
“’I.D.’ is a journey into who we are and how people view us,” said Barr in a statement. “Eleven gave it a home when I was starting out and I’m delighted we’ve found it a broadcaster with Channel 4 who are pathfinders in fearless and inclusive storytelling. It is a privilege to be living...

Broadchurch writer Chris Chibnall has penned new two-part TV film The Great Train Robbery for BBC One.
The first film will star Fast & Furious 6 actor Luke Evans as Bruce Reynolds, the mastermind behind the famous heist.
Reynolds passed away last week at the age of 81, just months before the 50th anniversary of his audacious crime.
Chibnall's new drama will tell the story of how the robbery was inspired, planned, rehearsed and executed, with Reynolds and his team targeting the August Bank Holiday 1963 mail train from Glasgow.
Jack Roth (Bedlam) will play Reynolds's childhood friend Charlie Wilson, with Utopia's Neil Maskell cast as ambitious Ronald 'Buster' Edwards and The Sweeney's Paul Anderson set to play professional Gordon Goody.
Martin Compston (Line of Duty), Del Synnott (The Silence) and Jack Gordon (Panic Button) will also star in the film, directed by Julian Jarrold (The Girl, Appropriate Adult).

Screenterrier posted the casting call for indie pyschological film Truth Or Dare, back in November 2010. With the film now in post-production, a full synopsis and first image have now emerged.
Five teenage friends are taken hostage by a vengeful psychopath and forced to play a party game with life-or-death consequences.
An end-of-year party for an 'alpha' group of first year university students turns nasty when a game of 'truth or dare' ends in humiliation for ultra-rich social misfit Felix. For five students at the gathering, this unpleasant but seemingly minor incident will have unexpectedly devastating repercussions.
Some months later, the friends meet again en route to a surprise party for Felix, who has been away traveling. Arriving at the venue - an old hunting lodge - they are met by Justin, Felix's charismatic older brother, who explains that Felix will be late for the party. He persuades the gang to...

Doctor Who, under producer Steven Moffat, feels very different than that of the shows from Russell T. Davies. In some ways, it feels as if Moffat needs to top Davies so we go from the terrifying Weeping Angels to The Silence. And we go younger, with Matt Smith as Eleventh Doctor, the youngest yet. Everything old is new again, it seems, while a show once aimed strictly at kids is now being criticized for being too scary for the audience.
The new season, Series 6 of the reboot, is the first to be shown in halves, a marketing device that cable channels in the USA have been quite successful using, nabbing viewers during major network lull periods. It also provides a dramatic cliffhanger, which may be thrilling for viewers but no doubt causes headaches for the producers.
