It is one of those instances where a promising notion got marred by an inferior execution. The topic that they were determined to discuss was shocking indeed, even more so when I saw the end credits rolling. It wasn't all a work of mere fiction, there was some harsh truth in it and that boggled my mind. Never did I think such acts of atrocities are even possible to commit in real life.
However, that's probably the only flattering aspect I can come up with. If you keep the idea on one side you get yourselves an ill-conceived byproduct that for the most part comes off as futile and childish. Not to mention the poor write-up and shoddy visual effects made the condition even worse.
Sam was great though, it's always a pleasure to see her donning such intense roles, regardless, there's only so much one individual could do in cases like these where story and presentation tend to matter the most.
