Its Marian Dora, you should know by now.

Warning: Spoilers
The other reviews here truly provide absolutely nothing for the film so heres some background and context.

The film is fine, I wouldn't rank it up there with some of Marian Dora's more notorious works (MDE which was aesthetically obliterating to the eyes and psychologically damaging) or Cannibal/Voyage which had "enough" plot while still maintaining the mainstay of MD's movies that is horror/arthouse/disturb etc. Instead the film orients more around general aesthetic and lovely (out of context/clashing with imagery and filming style) sound or audio.

The purpose of this film was also unique though, in that it played a role in "clearing up some confusion" for dedicated MD fans who had heard discourse from within the community/actors etc. For that reason I would say the movie really won't peak much interest for most and likely doesn't really have much value for them. An issue within this is that the film still didn't clear a lot up for the die-hard fans as it kind of lacked transparency and direct answers/involvement of some needed individuals. (At least for us English speaking individuals relying on potentially flawed translation).

I don't really know who the film was made for. If your here becuase Melancholie Der Engel scarred you and you want more this won't do it for you. If your an immense MD fan and wanted answers about community discourse this won't do much for you. At best you can understand a bit more context and rationale but no definitive answers were provided. However, all in all, it still has very beautiful cinematography entirely unique to MD and has some very grotesque scenes. Its beginning to feel repetitive (coprophilia/emitophilia yada yada) but its there and will likely be acceptable to the MD fans who will "eat up anything he produces" iykyk.

Two people you never heard of

So we have two "actors" nobody has ever heard of and Marian Dora exposes everything they are not.

Thomas and Marco claim to be important, but in nearly 2 hours we learn the truth about the 2 wannabes.

Thomas and Bubu
manueldieme31 May 2022
This movie was supposed to be called Thomas and Bubu.

Bubu Bangalore had no time due to filming a film that actually makes money, so some random fill-in-dude was hired.

Well, actually two fill-ins.

Don't waste your time.

I bet this is the first time anyone has heard of these two German actors; they are unknown. The director - after I'd searched - for this work, I discovered her name, Marian Dora; I didn't get the point, what beyond the message she wanted to say for as long as two hours about two gay men with their real names Thomas Goersch and Marco Klammerb. But I noticed they are talking about films, especially while filming "The Desire of Maria D." her movie in 2018, So I've watched it, hoping to get the message at least! But. It didn't.

0/10 I was charitable enough to give it a star; I wished there were a zero. I am ungenerous with works like this.

Dora's latest is arguably his least accessible to non-fans

Thomas and Marco is a film that I swore wouldn't get released due to various online statements. I was surprised when I saw New Film Order announce this new title and I immediately purchased it as I am a huge Dora fan and consider him to be the best in the business ever since I originally saw cannibal back in the day. The new film focuses on various controversies between his actors and serves as an experimental and cinematic documentary kind of. If you aren't a Dora fan this whole film will be confusing but for those who keep an eye on the scene it's a real fascinating one. Dora still delivers the expected sequences and the ending will you have you screaming. The controversy this film started online was also quite amusing to watch.

Filth Warning: Spoilers
Here is my review of the film "Thomas und Marco" from the controversial (and sadistic) German underground cult director Marian Dora.

Where to begin with this pile of euro trash? I guess the opening scene. We see two fat pigs walking in the woods, the first pig (Thomas Goersch) pulls out his member and unleashes a golden shower (this is real art right here, so bold and original), all the while he keeps talking with the second pig (Marco Klammer). Already I'm bored and so I start to skip a lot of scenes, and unfortunately for me, what I see next sickens me to my stomach. I'm serious, I can't believe my eyes, and if you're a decent human being, you'll be appalled too. So get this, the two pigs find a cat and decide to its slit its throat FOR REAL. I'm not joking. A real cat is violently killed on camera and you can tell the director (a so called artist) enjoyed every second of filming the poor cat's agony. It's cruel and shocking for the sake of it. It wasn't needed..

But what I find just as shocking is how fans of this sadist (I mean artist) are trying to justify his actions - some say it was an animatronic cat, others say the two pigs cut the throat of a cat that was already dead (an impressive feat considering the cat is clearly alive and slowly enduring a painful death on camera). This isn't the first time this bold and controversial freak has killed an animal in the name of his "art" and I fear it won't be the last. Cows, rabbits, they all suffer a gruesome real demise for his sick amusement. This "artist" needs help.

How does the rest of this trash go? I don't know. I stopped watching after that scene. I have no desire to watch two gross pigs commit perverse and pretentious acts for a zoosadist, and blatant Buttgereit imitator (remember the rabbit scene in Necromantic) he tries so hard to emulate his style with close-ups of lizards and insects. There is nothing original about this clown. He's just a cold blood murderer who thinks he's an extreme artist when in fact he's a sick piece of garbage who makes nothing but garbage. And the people who defend him are also garbage. Real artists don't kill for real in order to garner attention. Killing animals is not extreme or creative, it's sadism. Plain and simple.

Please, spare a thought for that poor cat - They lure him with food and then brutally kill him. Is this art? Really? Wake up people! Everyone involved with this euro trash are criminals and deserve to go to jail. Especially the director and the first pig, Thomas. The second pig, Marco, died this year, which proves there is a God after all.

Avoid watching this euro trash. It's very telling what kind of people actually enjoy sick filth like.
