Great show, title is a little misleading

What is their to like about the show? They travel to places all over the world and walk around in cool and unusual homes that tap into the latest and greatest green technologies.

If the show were called World's Greenest Mansions that would be far more accurate. These are not the greenest homes in the world because these are mainly mansions or very large homes with few people inhabiting them. To be truly green, its far better to have a smaller home thats efficient than a humungous home thats efficient. If you are heating or cooling space that isn't used often, how efficient are you really being, even with your heating floors and an r-1000 rating on your floors.

Nevertheless, the homes were beautiful and the different approaches taken to be 'green' were interesting and informative.

I wish it were still on the air.

Stunning and very informative green homes

I watched the entire series when it was broadcast, I learned something new from every show. Where I'd agree that these homes are wealthy homes and lovely. I think a lot of the ideas can fit into the tiny home movement which would reduce waste and save on taxes. These homes are as green as normal to large home gets. Stuffing a large family into a small home would be problematic for anyone remotely claustrophobic. So I'm open to large homes being green. As far as the tiny home movement which I support goes - a tiny home is usually chosen to get out of debt, to travel, for work or as a personal or family challenge. Mostly the people are trying to set themselves free or to put extra money in their pocket. So when they build lovely homes I'm impressed because it shows how resourceful people can get. But these homes are about interacting with our world as greenly as possible. These are lovely and they did it right! I will point out you can buy the series as a zone 4 series as DVD's. All you need is a universal player.
