This film's story is an autobiographical fiction based on true life experiences in the interwoven lives of best of friends, Director Garrett Bennett and Actor Brent David Fraser.
The film was developed from the One Act Play of the same title, mounted in October 1993, in Los Angeles, a "Theatre GEO" production of "Eight Short Plays Benefiting Project Angel Food" called "The End of Something", also written and directed by Garrett Bennett, with the accompanying pieces starring numerous now world famous Actors, much lesser known then, such as: Benjamin Bratt, Catherine Keener, Giovanni Ribisi, Kieran Mulroney, Julie Warner , and Eliza Roberts.
Writer/director Garrett Bennett befriended actor Eric Roberts through Brent David Fraser's close friend and Manager Eliza Roberts, who was dating him at the time, and that is how he came to play movie star "Jack Spain" in the film, and use his Vintage Corvette for the "car theft gone wrong" scene.
