Kate Lawson is on trial for the murder or her fourteen year old niece Claire Spears. Lawson pleads not guilty, so faces a trial in front of a Jury.
It's a solid enough first episode, I am a little concerned by the fact that it's one of ten episodes, it's going to be a long stretch.
I'm finding it hard not to compare it to The Jury series that ITV did many years back, I don't think it's that kind of calibre, but it's a decent enough start.
Sam Neill is excellent as The Defending Counsel he really does have a degree of presence. I also rated Kate Mulvany, who plays Kate Lawson, talk about a character who's hard to like.
6/10.
