What is abject art?
Sleepin_Dragon4 February 2024
An expert is brought in to raise the possibility that Kate Lawson is suffering from a specific mental health issue. Kate's work is shown to The Jurors, its effects, motivations, styles and impact are discussed with an expert, A Gallery owner.

Again, there's a heavy focus on The Jurors and only a small fragment of time seems to be being spent on Kate.

What's been well done, is seeing the effects of the case on The Jurors, Simon Cavanaugh for example, he's being exposed to a world he's probably never known before, and he's probably ignored most of Ava's activities for years, but now seeing Claire's story unfold, he's panic stricken, he's not exactly handling it well though.

Vanessa is grating on me, she's so unpleasant. Jarrod is growing on me, he's easily led.

It makes you wonder what are means for different people, I've only ever liked uplifting art, I detest the darker, maudling stuff, but I get that it has an appeal.

Sam Neill is really coming into his own, perfectly cast and perfectly believable in the role.

7/10.
