What just happened?

I invested time in the show so you don't have to. Started out strong and then got really confusing. The more confusing it became the less likeable the main character became. It's hard to tell what's real and what's not. One minute she's freaking out and the next she's enjoying a nap on the couch. Why, though? Im mad about how terrible this was and that I convinced myself to keep watching it.

Alsoc can we talk about how freaking strange and depressing the house they live in is? Who designs a house like that, and why?

So, without spoiling anything, what's real is that you should skip this and watch something else.

Waste of Viewers' Time

I was anticipating a good mini-series with Spirit of Winter. The opening scene didn't disappoint. Casting was fine, as well as the acting.

Scenery was rather limited, but adequate. The interior of the remote house didn't seem to fit with the exterior pictures, but I'm not the first to mention how incongruous this felt.

Am I too harsh on this series, or is the quality of all films not up to par lately.

I was hoping for something akin to Hitchcock or King and was disappointed. Not even close.

The series falls flat. I only watched it to the end because I was determined to see it to the end. If you are like me, I hope you don't make the same mistake. It was a waste of time.

Off to a Great Start

I love when a story grabs me right out of the gate, and this one opens with what appears to be a tragedy and continues under an ever-increasing shroud of mystery. The family interaction in the first seems normal enough; the one discordant note is the aloof and mysterious daughter, Alice. She always seems to be lurking somewhere else n the house and avoiding her parents. Even stranger is the apparent love-hate relationship between Alice and her mother that seems to escalate when they find themselves alone together in a snowstorm and that left me wondering what was real and what was imaginary. I'm only on the first episode and can't wait to see what comes next.
