Triple the idols, double the fun

This is leaps and bound better than the first series in all regards: the comic book storyline is more interesting and gripping (usual contrivances towards the end permitted, which I blame on the manga i.e. Awful source material more than anything else), the episodes are better written and and they're more imaginative thanks in part to a heavy dose of japanese pop culture references, the acting in particular by the idols (Yoko Minamino, Haruko Sagara, Akie Yoshizawa) behind the sailor suits and skirts of the three main protagonists (whose backgrounds are really well fleshed-out as usual from Toei) is better of the performance by their precedessor Yuki Saito, the coreography and fight scenes are better, etc. Etc. Etc. It was also nice to see Miyauchi Hiroshi of Winspector/Solbrain fame (the commander of both special forces) in the role of the main protagonist's father. All in all, this series is recommended if you already liked the first outing and its mix of shoujo/shonen stuff with some supereroics antics thrown in there for good measure.

As an ending for my review, let me give a huge shoutout to the guys of TSHS for their fansub, it was one of the best and most informative experiences I've ever had in years (no offense to other equally passionate fansubbers intended).
