Smart convergence of multiple story lines
mjohnslo-6556417 March 2022
I enjoy most episodes but this one had quality moments seen in the best of Seinfeld combined with friends. I really enjoy the fast pace of the character interactions. Even the low brow humor behind closed doors was eye rolling hilarious. The writers wrote a classic episode script that enabled the characters to produce lines that will withstand the test of time. Well played, Harry, well played!

Where are the last two episodes?
bosporan17 March 2022
According to IMDB this is the last episode. It did not feel like a finale, it seems there should be more - 10 episodes like season 1. This episode was good, but not if it is the last one - sets up a new dynamic for season 3, but this really should have been fleshed out more.

I just love pie .
mrmarckline30 March 2022
Loved this episode , best of season 2.

The cast all got together for a party , even the baby made an appearance and ate a raccoon , i guess it was hungry.

Harry and Asta are clicking , the mayor is weak as water though .

Lies and more lies in a 7 minute speech was fun to watch , D'Arcy (orange hair woman ) she is so cool , got to love her charactor always in the middle of everything going around.

Harry gets shot at the end , Asta saves the night .

That's some Bull*%#!

Wait, what! We have to wait until the summer to watch the rest of this season?!

That's some _______, as Harry likes to say.

I got to admit this season started slow.

But then the last couple of episodes it has perked up to the level of season one. Harry certainly is using Neo's acquired fighting skills from the Matrix when dealing with that hag that had come to New York to steal his egg... also it appears that this group that the real Harry was dealing with is now after him...

We still don't know exactly what happened when Harry came back to Earth with the kid...

It also doesn't explain why Max's girlfriend is 5 inches taller than him now!

This kind of reminds me of "Roswell", when "the Skins" show up. Goliath was apparently trying to warn Harry when the ______ happens...

_____, ______, #%#$ and _____!

But, a very excellent Alien Dinner Party!

Best Episode so far. Alien Dinner Party.
hopyrupa28 March 2022
The show is really hitting its stride, so much tension this episode with the alien baby, and the other plot twists. This show is just getting better in season 2. Two more episodes this summer.

I'm concerned that they are going to rap it up with no season 3. That would be sad for me. I love this show.

what a party!
mxbush-4442819 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What a great party. That 'dinner party' was chaos! A carnivorous alien baby, a prolonged family quarrel in a bathroom, Darcy quitting alcohol for 4 hours, the sheriff finally celebrating his dead partner's life and the deputy's grandmother's deviled eggs all happening at the same time! And poor Harry just trying to get a pie! And those two kids: "Is your brain in your butt?" I couldn't stop laughing!

Alien Dinner Party
Prismark106 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This may be the season finale or not.

At least Resident Alien season two now has a central plot given some of the preceding meandering episodes.

There is a surprise birthday party for Harry as Mayon Ben realises that he needs Harry as the town doctor.

Harry though is more concerned about the alien baby. Sahar wonders what happened to the new doctor who arrived.

All the while the seeds are laid for future episodes.

Harry's task is not to destroy humanity but to save it.

The last few episodes have been better. It has acquired the warmth and quirkiness of the first series.

The funniest episode
keyserholiday16 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This is a show i have to focus on when I watch it. There is so much witty dialogue. This episode was the best. A lot of characters in one room for an extended period of time and with the argument scene was the best. "Birthday parties are like participation trophies." We need more scenes with Dan and Liv's husband John. I saw Gary Farmer who plays Dan in another show and enjoyed him in it. He plays a sweet and caring person in this show. I won't spoil the ending, but the whole where is the alien baby going to show up and it will it be found and by who, was well done. Get new bathmats, towels, and luffa.

Birthday pie
Calicodreamin18 March 2022
A few good laughs and one great long scene; however, meandering storyline and more grabs at starting new plot lines. Focus was on subplots with little substance.

Alien Dinner Party.
bombersflyup17 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
More humour and more interesting than of late. The characters are all disposable though, this thing should be killing them. It's not like the show's going anywhere, why not do it.

Thrown at the walls and see what sticks?
Rob-O-Cop23 March 2022
Quite a bit of mud hurled at the wall to see what sticks in the episode, and it's all feeling a bit slapdash now, not really a clear and focused story any more, just a bunch of stuff crow-barred into the episode run time.

Some of it was ok, some of it was more of the same and some of it is starting to get tedious.

Maybe it's being written by committee now, but there just to many disparate threads that don't form a cohesive story going on now.

Some of them are killed off before the form any meaning, like what ever was happening with the doctor before he was taken over, and we get an endless trail of baddies, disposed of before they even register.

Looks like this one will get cancelled soon. Maybe that's for the best.

Huge fan of the show this episode stunk
rfc-1973930 April 2022
I guess they want to make this show a drama really bad but that is not why people started to watch it. Harry is the star of the show but they seem to lose track of that. Please don't lose track of why people watched it to start.

Collegiate humour now.
ingridwinter-3161318 March 2022
Gratuitous toilet humour for the basement dwelling nerds who will never be in danger of being peed upon. This has descended in to the ridiculous. Also ridiculous....a show calling it a season after only eight episodes. That's barely more than a miniseries. Sahar and Harry's acting is so wooden now. Are they afraid their paycheques will bounce?

Show was great
mattdthomas-1585816 July 2022
The first 5 episodes of this show were amazing, very funny and clever. I loved the rivalry between Harry and kids... then like all modern shows, a bunch of feminist that got their degrees for Starbucks starting writing for the show and it went crashing down faster than Harry's ship.

Writers with zero previous tv writing credits, and it shows...
pmerrill-387268 March 2024
This program is wildly inconsistent. Without Tudyk it would be cancelled within three episodes.

It appears that the 'writers' are just googling all the laziest ideas they could muster. Unoriginal, corny, and unattractive characteristics for what should be the protagonists.

The chemistry between Tudyk and Tomko keep the show afloat. Nearly every other character is insufferable. They speak lines that no normal person would say. And, here's a spoiler: the females will be 'smart,' but all the males will be 'dumb' or 'incompetent.' Every. Single. Time. It gets old. Fast. Especially since it is done with such a lazy hand. At least work harder.

I believe the core problem is NO female writer. If you want to write an empowered women's show, how about putting your money where your programming is? The worst is the child actors. I just forward through their scenes now. I get it - boy dumb, girl smart. Almost every single scene. Not almost. It's every single scene. Think I'm exaggerating? Watch the episode. And the previous ones.

This show started out as a fun subversion of genre. A fun semi-sci-fi show in the spirit of "Eureka," that's light and good hearted. Even with the murders, which is a weird combination.

But, the subversion is that the focus is on what I would call 'normal' blue collar women in mid life who are strong, flawed, but figuring life out. All the men are buffoons or criminals. So, what is the demographic that they're aiming for? Young men? Middle aged women?

This show is losing it's identity. They need to figure out what they are trying to do. I loved Eureka, even when it started jumping the shark. This show... Some episodes are so 'miss' that they are unwatchable. I still love Tomko and Tudyk. The rest can get taken by the Greys - I'm ok with it.
