Pig's got personality. It's clever, cynical, curious, and cute. Jimmy Doherty - the host - seems to share my affinity for suids, which enlivens this documentary. He is enthusiastic and knowledgeable, traveling across the British Isles to meet with farmers and private owners and discuss their pigs, test the various abilities of those pigs, learn Pig, and give an account of suids' habits and customs.
The documentary gives a brief but nice excursus on the pigs' evolutionary relatives (camels and whales), shows domestic pigs and wild boars in all their ravenous, mud-covered, affable glory, and has enough piglets to cause a cuteness meltdown.
8/10.
