She made me her what?!?!?!

I got a chance to see this film at the Hollyshorts Film Festival Screening Series in LA and it was a riot. It was really funny. Not dark funny, or funny only some viewers get, but funny in the traditional sense. It had racy one-liners that only the lead, writer/actor, Clint Childs could pull off. Clint is very funny and has a knack for delivering one-liners. He really carried this film.

All the performances in this film were very good in a limited length of time. Newcomer, Jessica Laine is very sassy as the uptight daughter. She is easy on the eyes as well. Soap Opera superstar, Michael Swan is a scene stealer. He is surprisingly funny and can go from comedic to stern faster than anyone in the business. Brandon Scott of Grey's Anatomy fame adds a legitimate dramatic need to keep the tone realistic. This film was well cast.

It was refreshing to see a comedy in a short form. A lot of shorts never have closure or endings. This one does. I'd love to see this turned in to a feature. If this film plays in your area, go see it.
