Don't waste your time!

Warning: Spoilers
The movie in itself was pretty bad, it was tough to sit through because the production was poorly put together. The film starts off very intense, with a big fight scene, it was also very predictable. It was borderline short film/feature film, because it was right around the 45 minute line, so it really could have passed as either, I personally found it just all in all very poorly put together much like a student film and I was hoping for better. At the end of the film, of course Kayla (Megan Alda) turns into the "good girl" and quits everything that shes doing, after she deals with the death of her dad. It would have made it a bit more interesting if they would have had a cliffhanger, since we knew from the start she was going to "recover" because of the flashback clips at the beginning, so again, they ruined the ending for us before we even got to see it! Go see the movie if you want to see a few good actors and actress, but other then that don't waste your time! (I only gave it a 5, because of the talent, NOT the movie)

This film was NOT as bad as some people are making it out to be. I watched Broken at ALI film festival on the Island a few weeks ago and I was expecting to hate it, and I didn't. I think some people are not seeing what actually matters in the movie. Yes the film was small budget, and it was not constructed properly, but the storyline itself and the execution of the actors was brilliant! I found because I was so involved in watching the talent on the screen, I really didn't notice too much of the other stuff (such as sound, camera angles and shots) I didn't take any of that into consideration simply because the actors captivated me. There where stellar performances by some, and of course some faultered, but I wouldn't write this movie off without watching it and seeing what you can pull from it yourself. The ending was a little blunt and they gave away a lot of the movies ending throughout the film and especially at the beginning, but I still wanted to see it. All in all, not too bad!
