- Peter (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) is asked to defend ex-girlfriend Janie Ross's (Claire Coffee) fiancé Nathan Connor (guest star James Van Der Beek) in a prostitution case. And as representing a teacher accused of having sex with a student (guest star Alexandra Breckenridge) pits Jared (Breckin Meyer) against his old high school headmaster, the discovery of a long-missing body in Alaska spells trouble for Infeld (Malcolm McDowell).—Anonymous
- We open with a guy approaching the guys downstairs at the firm. It's Nathan Connor, Janie's fiancé. He's wants Bash to be his lawyer.
Bash tells Franklin he wants to take the case, primariyt to prove he's over Janie.
Karp walks by in casual clothes. He's giving a big interview and when Infeld suggests he send the reporter to him Karp passes.
Franklin has a meeting with a teacher who was terminated for sleeping with her student. She did it, but says it occurred before the school year began and she thought he was 21. She was fired by a private school, Hightower, which happens to be Franklin's alma mater. She sought him out intentionally.
Nathan tells Bash he's gotten busted for solicitation at his bachelor party. Janie doesn't know yet, but his yoga teacher recommended and Janie has said in the past he knows prostitutes. Nathan mentions that a body candle caused a fire at the hotel. The hotel pressed charges since the room was on Nathan's credit card and Bash says this charge now means he's facing jail time.
Franklin tells Bash that Chris, the guy the teacher (Emily) slept with posted pictures online that made their way to the administration. He's 18 and was using a fake ID to buy her drinks at a bar. Bash's father donated a wing at the school.
Nathan tells the guys he's not into stripper and never wanted a bachelor party. He left when the hooker showed up and came back an hour later just as vice was making their bust. Franklin points out that vice often picks a John so they can have a clean arrest. Nathan wants to try and see how long he can go in this process without Janie finding out.
Janie of course finds out the next day, immediately after Bash worded out a deal for Nathan to avoid major charges by pleading guilty. When Nathan tells her he never slept with anybody she wants him to plead not guilty and have Bash get him off.
Emily tells Franklin that Chris told her he was a college student. She told him she was a teacher, but didn't say where. Emily didn't know he was in high school until she saw him in her class.
Karp gives the reporter a long line of BS of how great of a guy he is. He wants to interview Infeld and says if he's not in the article it won't get printed.
The guys pay Chris a visit at school. He basically blows them off, saying he's not going to help Emily.
Nathan drops by the guys place with some wine. Bash tells him he's going to approach the hooker when she appears in court on another issue. Reference is made to the fact Janie smokes after sex.
The hooker basically admits to Bash that Nathan isn't the guy she slept with (who took 55 minutes to finish). But she won't change her story because if she does Vice will make her life miserable.
Carmen tells the guys they should check-out the bar where Chris took Emily.
Nathan is back at the guys place again hanging out. Janie shows up, furious that Nathan wasn't answering his calls. Janie drags him out of there and argues with Bash.
The guys drop by the bar where Emily met Chris. She says he'd been in there a bunch of times with older women.
Carmen found out hat someone used Nathan's key card to access the pool area at the time the hooker arrived.
Karp tells Infeld the reporter wants to talk with him. Karp wants to be a judge and is worried Infeld will say he was hired due to nepotism. Infeld sees on TV that some hikers were lost on a mountain where a friend of his had gone missing years earlier.
The Hightower principal tells Franklin that a corporate donation is on its way and he wants the Emily situation to go away. When Franklin bluffs that he has multiple women ready to testify Chris deceived them into believing he was 21, the principal said another student has come forward to say he had an affair with Emily.
Emily tells Franklin this new student story is bogus. Since the kid is a minor the school isn't saying who he is.
Bash proves in court that it's probable Nathan wasn't in the room at the time the hooker was there. Then the prosecution calls a bellhop who testifies to hearing Nathan tell a pretty girls near the pool that "whatever I'm paying you, it's not enough." After the session Janie storms out of the courtroom. Nathan tells Bash the girl he was talking to was his assistant Lauren. He is not having an affair with her, but Bash says he has to tell what happened or risk jail time. Nathan wants to tell Janie, but Bash says he can't give away his game plan to an attorney in the prosecutor's office.
Pindar locates the new student claiming an affair with Emily. His name is Rudy and he's one of her students. When Pindar reads Rudy's account of the sex from a website Franklin immediately recognizes the narrative.
The guys pop into one of Rudy's classes. They tell him they know his story was ripped directly from the plot of a soft-core adult cable film. Rudy wants to be a writer and they threaten to tell his college he's a plagiarist unless he tells the truth.
Janie comes to see Bash. He's not supposed to tell her anything, but gives her a head's up that he has a surprise witness.
Lauren takes the stand and testifies her conversation was innocent, that what the bellhop herd was a reference to her being a fantastic assistant. She then testifies that Nathan had been having second thoughts about the wedding. Janie hears this. Afterwards she and Nathan argue. He said he's been worried he's not exciting enough for her. She goes right for a cigarette and Nathan yells that she shouldn't fall off the wagon after six months. Janie leaves and Bash asks how long its been since Nathan and her have had sex. He says its been six months, that they've been abstaining in advance of their wedding to honor a Hindu tradition.
During Emily's hearing at Hightower Franklin calls the bartender to the stand. She says she's witnessed Chris bring other women into her bar, including at least one woman in the room. Franklin then pauses before asking her to name the person and makes reference to the importance of the upcoming corporate donation. This panics the principal who halts the proceedings.
Bash puts Janie on the stand. She testifies that they haven't had sex in six months and Bash makes reference to how amazing it would be if someone who hadn't sex for that long could had such remarkable sexual stamina.
The principal gives Emily her job back. Afterwards Franklin asks her out. The bartender says the other woman Chris slept with was her, not a board member.
Infeld has glowing things to say about Karp to the reporter. He also learns that his friend's body was found.
Nathan is found not guilty. Afterwards Nathan tells Bash that he and Janie are considering pushing back the wedding. Bash gives him a pep-talk and convinces him he has nothing to worry about.
