How To Manger
boblipton23 February 2024
Willie Howard offers a quick skit on the subject of the title of this soundie.

Soundies were short films, usually about three minutes. They were meant to be played on a sort of video jukebox called the Mills Panaram; put in a dime, and you got one, usually a song. However, there were a fair number of comedy shorts like this one produced among the more than 2000 soundies from 1940 through 1946. Many featured musicians performing their hits, like Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong. Some were the earliest film appearances of future stars like Doris Day, Dorothy Dandridge, and Nat "King" Cole. And some were silly little skits performed in dialect like this one.
