This Girlfriends series differs from most in that an intensity is built, likely both from the cast's interaction (not the usual separate vignette structure) as well as having a tight shooting schedule (this was a two-days back-to-back wonder). Also, it benefits from Nica Noelle as director, before she struck out on her own starting up many labels like Sweetheart Video, Sweet Sinner and later Girl Candy.
The very lovely Anita Dark is shown wandering against a lush background of Nature's greenery pre-credits, this shot later repeated in sequence. She and the rest of the cast live together in Janet Mason's mansion, with inevitable in-fighting and escalating jealousies among the boarders making up the show's drama.
Superstar Elexis Monroe makes her presence felt, as does the mysterious Torri Secret, and a less familiar face, pretty blonde Kelly Kane, is impressive as Torri's lover.
Director Noelle has continuity problems, especially regarding the confusing set-up scene of Kelly writing a post-it note that results in Mason subbing in a bondage vignette opposite Elexis, but delivers a fascinating open ending.
After making love in the final scene, Torri and Kelly spy a pool cleaner outside, who they call "Pool Butch", played by crew member Candy Girl, an occasional performer in butch roles. The duo agree that adding her for a menage a trois would be just the thing to deepen their relationship, leaving the viewer with food for thought.
