Colin has gone to pieces, Cathy has run off with an estate agent in Egypt, drinking heavily, not washing or changing his clothes, he desperately needs the help of friends, his neighbours have to suffice.
The main question, how on Earth can this show possibly continue without Cathy, for many she was the show's talisman, her scathing remarks and facial irritations were a joy....so..
It wasn't a bad episode, it had some good moments, but it maybe wasn't as sharp as usual, it's quite a sad affair, poor Colin. The man hug, that was quite a scene.
It really does focus on Colin, and life after Cathy, he's gone from being cock of the walk to something of a broken figure.
The last thing anyone needs is a friend like Christine, her efforts to help, suggesting a cookbook for single men, not helpful.
It wasn't bad, it's just going to take a little bit of getting used to. I think the only way is up from here on in.
6/10.
