Finding Out True Love Is Blind: Karukoski’s Latest Tackles Vehement Racial Tensions
Rising Finnish director Dome Karukoski follows up his hit 2010 comedy Lapland Odyssey with an intensely charged situational drama revolving around racism, Heart of a Lion. Reuniting two of the lead stars from 2012’s hailed film Purge (which was Finland’s Oscar submission), both of whom disappear into completely different characterizations here, Karukoski returns to favored themes of the disenfranchised frays of societal norms. While the setup feels a titch rushed, Karukoski (returning with Aleksi Bardy, who penned his 2009 film Forbidden Fruit) manages to create a stirring portrait of changing hearts and minds while maintaining the vile and vicious aspects of bigotry often watered down or absent from English language counterparts with this timely tale depicting a rising swell of far-right ultranationalist groups across Europe.

With the last two episodes of Once Upon a Time season 2 looming, I attempted to prod Michael Raymond-James who plays Neal/Baelfire into revealing the many secrets he knows about the characters of Storybrooke.
Unfortunately for me, like a well trained CIA agent, he withheld information on the big twists coming up in the finale. But with minimal torture techniques he was convinced to reveal how Neal's feelings for Emma, Tamara, Henry and Rumpelstilskin will come into play starting with tonight's "Second Star to the Right"
-------------------------------------------
As many fans have speculated since it was revealed that Neal already knew Hook, it appears Neal has ties to other magical realms. What can you tell us about Neal's past?
What I can tell you is, you will soon find out. It's a difficult show to talk about. There are lots of secrets that play into this. I'm like a cold warrior...

The Voice is booming.
Three weeks into its latest season (its first with “replacement” judges Shakira and Usher), NBC’s smash singing competition attracted 13.7 million viewers and, marking a spring-cycle high, a 4.9 rating in adults 18-49.

Those numbers are particularly impressive considering The Voice aired opposite CBS’ coverage of the Ncaa basketball championship game (which powered CBS to an overall Monday victory).

Love is blind and Rihanna is silent! After her Bf Chris deleted his Twitter account following a rampage, RiRi has stopped tweeting. Is she standing by her man? Rihanna and Chris Brown are two of the biggest tweeters in Hollywood, but Chris has recently deleted his account after he verbally attacked a comedy writer. In a possible act of support, Rihanna has not tweeted since the incident... Is this her way of standing by her man? Rihanna and Chris' relationship is currently back on track, as they spent Thanksgiving together in Berlin, and Rihanna even posted a topless pic of Chris on Twitter! Title: Laurence Anyways Love is blind, and rather complicated. What Xavier Dolan’s latest piece “Laurence Anyways” successfully does is sculpt what is an amazing and complex romance between a young-ish couple as they go through an ever-changing landscape between the decades and their own lives. First we should explain what the movie’s about for those who’ve never heard of this. “Laurence Anyways” focuses on a happily dating couple (Melvil Poupaud, Suzanne Clément) whose lives change after a sudden confession: Laurence has always wanted to and will now publicly start dressing like a woman. Their lives are turned inside-out over the confession but the bigger question is if their relationship will [ Read More ]

The Lebara Mobile UK Asian Music Awards took place a few weeks ago in Wembley Arena, and one of the artists we had a chat to was Bollywood playback singer Ash King.
Ash has provided his vocals to films such as Delhi 6, Dum Maaro Dum, Ek Main Aur Akk Tu and more recently Rush starring Emraan Hashmi.
After singing a very special Bollyspice influenced tune for us, Ash, who was one of the performers at this years Ama’s, told us how good it is to be at Wembley Arena. “My first time at the Ama’s and I got to perform at Wembley so I
am really happy.”
“Ama’s have been given this platform that the biggest stars have been given. I came to watch an A. R. Rahman show here, Beyonce and other artists have performed here, and now you have got the Ama’s here.”

Week 4: Sometimes in Eurovision, producers and artists just struggle to come up with original ideas for songs. I mean the contest has been going on for 57 years now so it’s a little more difficult to think outside of the box these days. The solution: ‘Hmmm, why don’t we just nab some bits from songs that have already been chart hits? It’ll take less time (and money – we’re in debt remember), sound instantly familiar to everyone who’s heard the original and will definitely be better than that cack about pigeons we were composing before. Just give it to some young sexy people to sing, throw in some equally sexy dancers, add a gimmick – flames, snow, thunder, midgets dressed as sheep – and ta-dah! We’ve totally won this thing.’ The 2012 Eurovision Song Contest is rife with stolen musical identities so here are 5 cases of Pop Theft...

Love is blind, and some might argue stupid at times as well. On the premiere of "Big Easy Justice" (Tue., 10 p.m. Et on Spike), Eugene "Tat-2 The Bounty Hunter" Thacker and his team managed to subdue a man who'd been hiding out from the law on a shrimp boat with his girlfriend.
The officers tried to tell her that this is no kind of life, but she appeared to not hear a word he said. After he stopped the lecture and ordered her home, she asked if she could give her boyfriend -- who was handcuffed already and in the back of the squad car -- a goodbye hug. The request was denied.
"Big Easy Justice" follows in the footsteps of other bounty hunting shows, following Tat-2 and his crew as they chase down fugitives from justice in New Orleans. The fugitive tracked this week had racked up $15,000 in...

Jennifer Lopez premiered her new music video - costarring boyfriend Casper Smart - on American Idol Thursday night. The video, for her new single "Dance Again" featuring Pitbull, features plenty of writhing by the Idol judge followed by choreographed dance moves (around 2:45) with Smart, a professional backup dancer. Lopez and a shirtless Smart also take turns tying a black blindfold reading "Love is Blind" around each other (around 3:35) while embracing. (In a more covered-up outing, Lopez and Smart took her twins to see the Easter Bunny on Thursday.) Related: Jennifer Lopez & Casper Smart Steam Up Sexy New Video...

In Jennifer Lopez’s new video for “Dance Again,” she and real-life boyfriend Casper Smart take turns blindfolding each other with a sash that reads “Love Is Blind.” But yeah, we don’t really believe that is the case with these two, especially not after watching them dance together in the clip. We can’t take our eyes off of them and get really annoyed every time Pitbull invades the scene with his gross lyrics about opening our “treasure chest” with oils. Shower, please. JLo’s featured her bfs in videos before, of course, but this one just may be the hottest. Maybe it’s Casper’s dance moves, maybe it’s their pure chemistry. Maybe it’s all that glitter. Paparazzi, you can retire now; we have seen way more of these two together than your cameras will ever catch.
Here’s a little recap of our favorite scenes.

They've been coy about their relationship in public. But the romance certainly seems hot and heavy between Jennifer Lopez and boyfriend Casper Smart, judging by images from her new music video. The pop superstar and American Idol judge, 42, has her way with her dancer beau, 24, in the video for "Dance Again" - he's seen shirtless and blindfolded, with the words "Love is blind" written across the black cloth. The steamy video premieres this Thursday night on Idol. In the meantime, you can see more photos from the video shoot at JenniferLopez.com. The "Dance Again" single is available today on iTunes.

"Love is Blind" is what I've been wanting the writers of House to explore for some time now.
Please, I begged, bring back the House paternity storyline! I want to see House examine a relationship with his father as well as he did in season 5 episode "Birthmarks." But while it was interesting throughout this episode to see House grapple with having his mother and potential father in his life again, albeit briefly, I found myself wanted more depth and less comedy.
After Wilson told House about his mother's terminal illness - which, by the way, was an obvious charade, but still worked because it showed us a connection between mother and son - House dropped the fabricated African drawings into the trash and went to see his mother immediately. Surprisingly, House's skeptical world view doesn't apply as strongly to his parent. And his constant hiding from her could mean that...

Love is a beautiful thing … most of the time. But sometimes there are those couples that just sketch you out. Whether they wear vials of each other’s blood around their necks, sell their children to reality TV, or just overdo it with the Pda, some duos don’t fill you with that warm and fuzzy feeling! The rumors of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s hookup with her adopted brother Nick Gordon is just the latest in a long line of celebrity couples that give us the willies. Love is blind, but watching these sketchy couples sometimes made us wish we were, too. Check out the rest in the gallery below!

The 2012 Daytona 500 pulled in some great ratings for Fox on Monday night. In fact, it was the most-watched Daytona 500 in Fox's history, pulling in a 5.4 demo rating and 14.89 million total viewers.
But, what about House and Alcatraz, the TV shows that were preempted? We've received several emails from readers who are wondering if they've missed those episodes or when they'll air.
The 14th episode of season eight of House, "Love is Blind," will now be shown on March 19th. House is preempted next week by a double helping of Alcatraz and March 12th's is a repeat so viewers will still see the new episode in production order. House says goodbye on May 21st with a retrospective and a series finale.

A new sneak peek for the upcoming episode of "Hot in Cleveland" has just been released in a form of stills. The images show Joe Jonas' fictional character getting cozy with Emmy Chase (Jennifer Love Hewitt). One picture sees the couple sitting close to each other on a loveseat, while another features him wrapping his arm on her waist.
Joe will appear in an episode called "Love Is Blind", which will air on January 25. In this upcoming outing, he will portray a young guy named Will Moretti, who has a thing for an older woman. He gets engaged to Emmy, and together they visit her mother to break the news. "I know it's all of a sudden but we head over heels in love," she says.
While Emmy is glowing with happiness, Elka will have a ball prank calling the New York Yankee's third baseman. Meanwhile, Joy's blind boyfriend thinks that she's 26 years old.

It seems appropriate that Jim Henson’s legendary creation, the Muppets, got their start on children’s programming and public television because they have a lot to teach the world. Not only did they spearhead the low-rent show Sam and Friends on Wrc-tv in Washington DC, they were also instrumental in making Sesame Street a primary education powerhouse. But even when the Muppets branched out from their roots to land in their variety show and later major motion pictures, they still had a lot to teach us. Like many folks out there, I grew up with the Muppets, and these are some of the most important lessons I have taken away over the years. 10. The show must go on. The run-down Muppet theater was a fledgling enterprise run by Kermit the Frog and his merry band of performers. Unfortunately for Kermit and the gang, he was constantly fighting against budgetary constraints, building...

An Sov offering from Chemical Burn Entertainment, Junkfood Horrorfest (2007) is a no-budget anthology directed by Brian Crow. Written by Brian Crow and Walter Reuther (Scarlet Fry), the movie opens with a female junkie looking for a fix but instead getting a video cassette from her dealer. In a fit of rage, the junkie goes back to the dealer with a crowbar and beats him to death. The blood-soaked junkie then finds a friend and asks if he wants to watch a movie. The dealer is unforgettable but the junkie is played by Calico Cooper, daughter of shock rocker Alice Cooper. This intro leads the viewer into six horror shorts tied together by quick vignettes involving Scarlet Fry as a redneck cannibal complete with a mask made of skin (a la Ed Gein) and a female victim tied to a tree in the background, awaiting her fate.

The episode opens with the gang going on a surfing trip. Perhaps characterizing it as a "surfing" trip is a stretch. More accurately, they put on wetsuits, appear on camera with surfboards and do very little actual surfing. Barely any of them can stand upright. "I haven’t really done anything that I haven’t been good at," says Zach, without irony. Moments later, the camera cuts to a clip of Zach flopping back-first into the water like a giant white bowling pin. Strike!
