Serenity Farm: Several shades of meh!
Platypuschow13 September 2017
Otherwise known as 3 Tunnels 2 Hell this obscure (Only 19 ratings on IMDb) horror isn't entirely awful it's creation is just marred by some odd choices.

This claustrophobic tale tells the story of a man who inherits an entire island, but within the island is a series of tunnels that contain a terrible secret from the past.

The idea is sound and I personally loved the premise and where the movie was set, but the execution is lacking.

I can only assume the budget was extremely limited and if so the majority actually looks quite good.

When something actually happens however it all turns to goo, as all the deaths are cutaways, so much is done in the dark and our "Creatures" look seven shades of awful.

You can do worse, but this is one of those films that could have been great but failed on too many levels to reach its potential.

The Good:

Great soundtrack

Decent setting

Interesting concept

The Bad:

Nothing but cut away deaths

Terrible looking creatures

Things I Learnt From This Movie: I want to own a series of spooky underground tunnels, no idea why I just suddenly do

AND IT STINKS IN HERE

Warning: Spoilers
This is also known as "Serenity Farm". I understand the 3 Tunnels but the "2 Hell" doesn't make any sense.

Jack (Richard Gabai from "Assault of the Party Nerds) has a big "L" on his forehead as his girlfriend (Samantha Cutaran of "Seven Psychopaths) walks out to get them both acting lessons. Jack gets a letter inviting him to something in Washington State. On a whim, he flies from California to Washington with money he doesn't have and discovers he has inherited Serenity Island, from a rich uncle he didn't know existed.

The will stipulates Jack must run a child's equestrian camp in order to inherit the island worth millions to property developers. Needless to say there is a building on the island no one has ever known about housing creatures which may look like the ones on the cover.

This is another version of the cabin in the woods scenario. It wasn't half bad, but then again, I wouldn't call it half good either. Makes for an okay free rental with low expectations.

Parental Guide: F-bomb, sex, nudity (Ronee Collins, Andrea Jordan, and Kasandra Bandfield)

That was about an hour and a half of my life wasted...

"Serenity Farm" (or "3 Tunnels 2 Hell") was a fairly below mediocre experience. Why? Well, the storyline was just idiotic. It didn't make any sense in any way. But aside from that, then it was a fairly generic horror movie, although it lacked scary moments all together.

What is scary about some deranged people running around in tunnels, chasing after people and making sounds that sounded like a mixture of hoofs against stone and a card put into the wheel of bicycle. It was just strange and it gave the movie more of a comedy aspect than it did horror.

Acting-wise, well given the fact that this is a low budget movie, then people were doing good enough jobs with their given roles, and they were trying their best to make a weak script turn into a proper movie.

If you enjoy a good horror movie, then you time and effort is better spent elsewhere.

Waste Of Time

What an absolute waste of time. I generally love B Horror movies. This one was bad in every way! The acting was not good. The story didn't make much sense. The sound effects were terrible! I mean come on. Why did the Zombie/Sick/Homeless/Monster killers all sound like pigs? It was so dark that they didn't have to worry about the make up on the Zombie/Sick/Homeless/Monsters because you couldn't see anything.

Lets not even try to dissect the acting. It was like a play from a bad drama school. You know the one. When they put the sword under their arm and die a slow weird death, before hitting the floor. Well that basically happens in this one. Do your self a favor and don't waste time on this. There are many great cheesy or B Horror movies out there. That deserve your attention. This one don't!

Very ordinary

Warning: Spoilers
3 TUNNELS 2 HELL is a very ordinary attempt at an indie horror flick with little to distinguish it from a crowd of similar fare. It's a criminally boring story about campers venturing into the wilderness to discover an old installation that proves to be the gateway to hell. It's a trite story, all very cliched and told at an extremely slow pace, with no interest evoked in the viewer whatsoever.
