Go Jimmy! Yay Knight!
akicork15 April 2023
For me, this is another good episode. It has plenty of suspense, with a couple of good plot twists, humour and character development. As for those pouring scorn on the idea of a relationship between Palmer and Knight, all I can say is that they can't have been watching the same series that I have. Haven't they noticed that Jimmy Palmer isn't the same character that he was nineteen years ago? He is now the Chief Medical Examiner, not the comic feed. He has a seven year old daughter. He has suffered tragic loss and been in dangerous situations time and again. He has been shown to be at least as brave as his armed colleagues. He is also increasingly the shoulder they come to cry on as Ducky gradually retires. And Knight may be a hardened warrior, but we have seen her soft centre. She and Jimmy both need a companion, a relationship. Why should they be denied it?

Knight & Jimmy - Really??
doug2go17 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
That so doesn't work for me - the Kick ass agent in a romance with the NCIS comic relief - whoever thought this one up needs personal help.

I would have rated this show an 8 for good action and plot twists which are pretty standard for one the best shows on TV , but the romantic miss between Knight and Jimmy took away from an otherwise entertaining show.

All or Nothing

Warning: Spoilers
Not an incredible episode, but a fun and exciting one here. Good to see the team out of the office and in danger. I just hate the Jimmy character and wish someone else was involved.

Don't fish from the Company Pool
koohii7 May 2023
The very first episode made a comment about office-place romances: You Don't Fish from the Company Pool. I actually knew someone who married someone he worked with. Yes, they were in different departments, and worked on different floors. That said, he told his boss that he would be leaving the company one month after they returned from their honeymoon, so it was time to start pulling together resumes for his replacement.

So, why is it that the writers for this show seem incapable of understanding this very simple and straightforward premise? Dating coworkers is unprofessional, and sometimes unethical.

So can we please knock it off?

Same with idiot mercenaries that don't know how to hold a gun. Why is it that Agent Knight doesn't know not to get so close to an armed gunman that he can kick her shins out from under her? Why can another merc get even closer, but Knight doesn't know how to disarm him and take him down?

The rest of the story is OK, but it suffers from time spend developing a relationship that even the most lax HR staffer should be red-flagging.

Not great

Warning: Spoilers
"All or Nothing" is written by Marco Schnabel and Yasemin Yilmaz, who wrote a very fun episode "Docked", which I consider one of the best of this season. Unfortunately, "All or Nothing" is not as good as "Docked". It's not bad, but feels dull at times.

Let's start with the good.

. The production values of this episode are great. "All or Nothing" is well-directed, the music fits the scenery. The acting's pretty good, Katrina Law gives her best performance yet as Agent Knight.

. The story is agreed exciting at times, the action scenes are well-done and actually kind of like the romance between Palmer and Knight. Glad the writers are not doing "will they or won't they" storyline like they did with Torres and Bishop.

But...

. Casey is still an annoying character, don't find the scenes with her very funny. The dialogue is not always on point and there are some awkward jokes here and there. The story can feel dull at the beginning of the episode, the mystery could have benefited from less predictable turns. Also, the ending felt a bit too trivial for me, it didn't truly satisfy.

Overall, an average episode.

5/10 HK.
