Coming off of one of last year’s best performances in 45 Years, Charlotte Rampling has just signed on to writer-director Lisa Langseth‘s latest drama Euphoria, which will be her English-language debut. Deadline reports Rampling will join cast members Eva Green and Langseth-regular Alicia Vikander, who is also producing through her new company Vikarious. The story focuses on two sisters (Green and Vikander), traveling towards an unknown destination in Europe while in conflict. No more information is currently known about the film, which has plans to shoot in the German Alps this August.
In related news, two Agatha Christie films are in the works from Sony and Paramount, with their eyes on Alicia Vikander and Emma Stone, respectively, THR reports. The projects will not be adaptations of Christie’s work, but instead examinations of her life. Sony’s project, titled Agatha Christie, would focus on the titular character (Vikander) crossing...

How I Met Your Mother's Josh Radnor is set to direct the upcoming sci-fi drama, The Leaves...
Josh Radnor, of How I Met Your Mother and Mercy Street fame, will be exploring uncharted (for him) territory as director of Lionsgate/Summit’s sci-fi drama The Leaves, the latest supernatural comic to come alive on the big screen.
This isn’t Radnor’s first time behind the camera (though it is his first paranormal one). His first venture behind the scenes was writing and directing the buzzed-about dramedy Happythankyoumoreplease, followed by Liberal Arts, which he also starred in. Both of his films received serious accolades even though neither was a box office smash.
In an uncharacteristic move, he won’t be making an onscreen appearance this time around. The Leaves is also a departure from his usual comedic material as he enters the world of science fiction.

How I Met Your Mother alum Josh Radnor is getting into sci-fi. He will direct a sci-fi drama called The Leaves, based on a Virgin Comics (now Liquid Comics) one-shot comic of the same name. Summit Entertainment acquired the rights to the graphic novel way back in 2008. Here is the description of The Leaves on Amazon: Inspired by the real-life Naadi fortune-tellers of India and one man’s legendary experience, Doctor Max Mellick has the universe at his fingertips — a world-renown heart surgeon with a striking girlfriend and extravagant New York lifestyle. When he attends a friend's funeral in India, something deep within him is forever changed. Identified as evil by an Indian fortune-teller, Max is forced to flee the country — to save his own life, but more importantly, to preserve his destiny. Interestingly, there’s a major aspect of The Leaves’ story (which Variety mentions) that’s not in that summary.
