It's a short that is, in my opinion, based on the photo and on the score.
The story is pretty sweet and the dialogues are okay, but IMO it's all about the quality of the framing, the picture, capturing the soul and the heart of what it's supposed to say. It's a great short and it's fun to watch, while the dialogues could have been better. The short is a two tempo movie which works great. It slides between the main character's youth and in present time and even though it's not the first time it's been used, the effect still works pretty good. I would have loved to see maybe a little more of the young life of the protagonist but I'm sure the movie had time constraint so it had to be removed from the script.
