- A spirit awakens in a junkyard, already dead on the ground. Standing nearby is a man with a gun trained on a young woman. The spirit hears a voice, telling him to save the woman using his "powers of the dead", and is taught that he has the ability to possess different object and "trick" them. Despite his efforts, the woman is gunned down, and the voice, which is revealed to as belonging to a possessed lamp, further explains that he has the ability to possess "fresh" corpses, besides from his own, to rewind time to 4 minutes before that person's death. Utilizing this, the spirit prevents the woman from getting murdered.
After returning to the new present, the spirit realizes that he is completely amnesiac. He cannot remember who he was, or why he was killed. Furthermore the lamp, nicknamed "Ray", tells him that spirits do not last forever, and he will only exist until dawn, the following day. The spirit wishes to uncover the truth of his identity and his death before his spirit disappears forever, and his only lead is the young woman who's murder he had adverted, who now sat shivering in the rain.
The spirit soon learns of his name, "Sissel", and discovers that the woman's life is still being targeted. This time a hitman is at her house, and when he arrives he finds a terrible scene: a young girl, held hostage, a dog, shot dead, and a hitman, in wait of his prey to return home. Once again, it's up to Sissel to utilize his unique powers to avert a horrific fate. With the time limit of a single night slowly ticking away, the spirit has only a hectic handful of hours to solve the mystery of himself, and the multitude of mysteries occurring that night, all while making sure no one else has to die.
