- A newspaper account of a Picasso being stolen from a private collector in London leads to a great deal of trouble for the con artists. It starts off as a simple scam when they get the eccentric Dolly Hammond to make a forgery for them. With the news that the painting has been stolen, they should have little trouble selling the fake to a gullible collector. The problem is that they try to sell it to an Eastern European mobster, Petre Savia, who it turns out is the man it was stolen from in the first place. Savia keeps Mickey hostage and gives the rest of them 6 hours to get his painting back or Mickey dies. It turns out the thieves who stole the real painting also had Dolly make them some copies. Soon, the con artists are being sought by other mobsters as they try to figure out just who has the real Picasso.—garykmcd
