Inside the Actors Studio: George Clooney (2012)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

George Clooney is the best for this 90-minute episode that kicks off the 18th season. As you'd expect from Clooney, he's incredibly charming and fun to listen to as he covers a wide range of topics from his early days in Kentucky to getting into acting, his famous family and of course what it takes to do the type of films he wants to do. As you'd expect we also get a joke about RETURN OF THE KILLER TOMATOES. If you're a fan of Clooney then you're really going to love this interview and I think film buffs such as myself are going to be even more impressed with him as he talks about how he doesn't care about the money or fame anymore. In his words, he's already received that so what he wants to do now is make a legacy with great motion pictures that are going to live on once he is gone. It's fascinating hearing someone like him talk about this and it certainly shows why he's selected certain pictures over the years. Quite a few films are overlooked but he does get to joke on BATMAN AND ROBIN. Other films discussed include GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK, SYRIANA, O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU?, OCEAN'S ELEVEN, MICHAEL CLAYTON, THE IDES OF MARCH and THE DESCENDANTS.
