Outstanding television

Warning: Spoilers
Live Together, Die Alone is a classic adventure. A full on Lost wonder, starting with our group heading towards the Others. The writing is pitch perfect and the reveals are as sharp as a blade. The scene where Desmond reads Penny's letter is absolutely phenomenal and tear jerking.

On top of the mystery and the emotion, you find out that Ben is the leader of the Others, you experience the absolutely chilling discovery that Desmond crashed the plane, you feel everything and every beat of Michael's deception, and our group feeling betrayed, Libby pops in and makes a great appearance, the sky turns purple and we finally experience what happens when the clock gets to zero and the button is left unpushed.

The characters have their own agendas, their own morals, they're testing the waters to see what sticks, what lands. The results aren't always what we might expect. Sometimes they are (Michael leaving the island with Walt), but it's still surprising and well done.

So the feeling of absolute wonder and mystery is there, the finale absolutely delivers. And Penny gets a call at the end, a stunning scene that'll stay with you until the next season. You wouldn't expect it at all. And the search is on. As for the themes, faith and science are still present here, parenthood also, and the extends you're willing to go to save your son, friendships and betrayals are also at the forefront. You'll definitely get your share watching this episode !

Mildly entertaining but absolute nonsense

Warning: Spoilers
A mildly entertaining season but absolute nonsense as well in a lot of ways.

There's some seriously contrived writing in this show. You certainly get the impression it's being made up as they go along.

A lot of parts of the of what's happening are illogical and contradictory. The hatch button pressing, why do they let Micheal lead them in to a trap?

Micheal in particular is one of the most annoying characters in the history of TV. Rather hopeful he won't be coming back, but I fear the worst.

I find it hard to believe they managed to make 6 seasons of thus show... But it seems they did. I'll speed it up to 1.5 playback speed to get through it...

Hopefully it's worth it.
