Gets Funnier and Crazier With Each Episode
Another great episode from the last season that gets even better than the last one. The ending of this episode must be in the top 10 craziest scenes of the show.
This is another great episode that mixes comedy with serious dark stuff really well and this episode is also somehow funnier than the last one. It also does a really good of progressing each of these characters' storylines and no main character is left behind.
Gene still gets some of the funniest scenes of the show and considering this is just the third episode, he gets his somewhat of a comeuppance this early. But I know his story is gonna get even goofier.
Sally starts her own acting class in this episode and gets a huge reality check in there. It adds more depth to this character that she's been in abusive relationships, romantic or workwise, and even with her own parents, but she still comes back to it and this cycle of abuse doesn't end. I don't think she has realized it herself yet that she just can't stop this cycle and she just comes back to it like an addict, knowing or unknowingly. She's either the abuser in the relationship or the one that's getting abused. But that's what she's been living with her whole life and that's the only way she knows how to operate.
El Toro is also the best character of the show with only like 2 minutes of screen time. Forget Barry, forget Sally and Gene, El Toro is the main character and I don't wanna hear otherwise. El Toro is the best Toro.
And you know the drill with Fuches at this point. I don't think I've seen something so overdone in any movie or show and I don't mean it as a bad thing. This is probably the 60th time Fuches has had a change of heart about Barry, but it's comical every time. They somehow manage to do this like 3 times per episode, but it doesn't feel out of character or done to death. Great writing really.
The ending of the episode is just a chef's kiss and we get a big cliffhanger too. Bill Hader proves once again how much of a master he is on screen and also behind the camera. The action scenes of this show are just something else. They are so unique and well-done and feel so realistic and creative that I wanna know what Bill and Alec Berg were smoking to come up with them. The action is just fantastic and they are shot really well. Great direction and cinematography as always.
With how crazy this episode was and it's already on par with the craziness of the second half of season three, I'm just looking forward to see how they're gonna top the craziness in the latter half of this final season.
