Matt Rendon composed three original songs for Blood Bath; "I Lost You", "Peace Four" and "Blood Bath (instrumental)." An edited version of the song "Tucson Drag" by his band the Resonars can also be heard in the film.
Howie Pyro who voices the ghoul narrator was an American bass player, DJ and exploitation film enthusiast with a lifelong love of the horror comics published by Eerie Publications. His original encounter with the short story "Blood Bath" in the 1970's left a deep impression on him, and he modeled the ghoul's slight speech impediment on multiple people that he knew as a youth.
"Blood Bath" is based upon a notorious horror comic originally published by Eerie Publications in the December 1969 issue of "Weird" magazine. Though uncredited, the story and art are believed to have originally been created by Golden Age comic book artist Chic Stone, and have fallen into the public domain along with the rest of the Eerie Publications output.

Lisa Petrucci who voices the giggling hippie girl character owns and operates Something Weird Video, a mail-order business devoted to cinema of the bizarre and low budget. Several Something Weird Video DVDs contain video galleries showcasing horror magazine cover art produced by Eerie Publications.
