- Lincoln is excited to stay up late with his best friend, Clyde, to watch the Rip Hardcore Midnight Marathon, but his plans are ruined when his dad institutes an early curfew; they come up with the idea to celebrate his half-birthday.
- Today is the day of the Rip Hardcore Midnight Marathon, and Lincoln is planning to stay up late to watch it with his best friend, Clyde, and obtain a Macho Man badge. While walking around the house, he finds his dad lying unconscious on the floor. He explains that his dad was preparing for his half-birthday, a day that he is completely obsessed with. After his dad wakes up, he explains that one of his daughters, Lucy, startled him in the middle of the night, and he went unconscious from fright. Suddenly, Lucy pops up out of nowhere again, and she says that she has been awake for fifty-eight hours straight. This triggers Mr. Loud to call an emergency family meeting, during which he establishes a curfew of 12:00 AM and no later. As a result of the new curfew, Lincoln needs a new way to watch the Midnight Marathon, so he offers to help his other sisters so they will help him with his own scheme. Lincoln's new plan is to make his sisters take their father to Jean Juan's for dinner while he stays behind to watch the Midnight Marathon. After spending a long time trying to go through his sisters' dilemmas, Lincoln concludes that it will take too much time, so he begins to pair some of them up in ways that can resolve their conflicts. After he has helped out almost everyone, he decides to make Lisa's robot, Todd, pass off as him. That night, Lincoln stays at home to watch the Rip Hardcore Midnight Marathon with Clyde, while everyone else goes out to eat at Jean Juan's. Everything goes well until Lucy startles a waitress, who spills water on Todd (who is currently passing off as Lincoln) and causes him to malfunction, effectively exposing Lincoln as absent. His sisters confess to their father that they did it as part of Lincoln's scheme, and his father begins to explain the reason why his half-birthday is so important to him. Lincoln hears this from his computer, and he decides not to obtain his Macho Man badge because he does not feel like a macho man in the light of the current situation. While everyone else is on the way home, Lincoln and Clyde begin throwing a surprise half-birthday party for Mr. Loud. After they arrive home, Luna performs a song to celebrate her father's half-birthday, while Leni and Lana show them his present: his car, all fixed up. Mr. Loud is ultimately driven to tears by his kids' efforts to make his half-birthday celebration a special one.
