This is part 1 in one of my favorite episodes of the show, let alone one of the only arcs the show ever had which is too bad as this show would've benefited from having more of them. Let alone in a way this is also one of the only Halloween episodes the show had, well sort of.
Oh well down to business, not much I can say it was just cool we see the Defenders have this room which is like the Holodeck in the "Star Trek" franchise. It makes sense they would have this like all heroes and heroic teams they need to constantly train to stay sharp and sharpen their skills, but also this was an acknowledgement of the video/computer game subculture going on in the 80's.
It was just fun and cool seeing the Defenders put in different environments and dealing with certain situations in those environments. From seeing Rick, Jetta, and L. J. fighting against Dinosaurs.
However, the big kicker and where the Halloween aspect comes in is seeing Flash, Phantom, Lotor, and Mandrake all in a haunted house and cemetery and fighting against bump in the night nasties like some weird snake demon creature, a Frankenstein monster, skeleton warriors, a witch, etc. But the danger aspect kicks in as usual Ming is up to no good and makes the game real by hacking into their systems.
Can the defenders stay alive and win the game, you'll have to just wait and see.
