Ex high school superstar Aiden finds out that his first ever roommate is his arch nemesis Seamus, direction-less Tom tries to befriend uptight pre-law Jessie, and Howie, Kala and Taylor run into a few Welcome Week problems of their own.
Aiden, with his friend Howie reluctantly by his side, is bent on proving his awesomeness to his rival Seamus, which results in his newfound love interest Taylor pulling Tom, Jessie, and Kala into a raucous first night out.
Jessie and Taylor endure the trials of sorority rush week. Aiden and Taylor's developing relationship leaves Howie sexiled, and Kala tries to get him to stick up for himself, and Tom explores a new major, this time in the music school.
Jessie struggles to keep up in the race for a spot in her sorority while also dealing with an outstanding tuition balance. Meanwhile, Tom attempts to figure out what Kala is hiding from him, and Aiden puts his relationship in jeopardy.
The undergrads face their first round of finals. Tom tries to help Jessie fudge the numbers on her student billing account, Taylor wonders how she got into the university, and Kala uses the drama around her to inspire her final art project.
The undergrads' second semester gets off to a slippery start when the aftermath of a house party leaves Howie missing and Tom, Jessie and Aiden with no memory of where he could possibly be or why Taylor is furious with them.
Aiden's high school wrestling rival, Chad, comes for a campus visit and they challenge each other to a match for the title of Mr. Awesome. While Tom becomes Aiden's coach, Chad and Seamus plant seeds of discontent in the rest of the group.
It's the end of freshman year, and Tom's advisor tells him that he needs to finally pick a major or else. But instead, Tom gets caught up trying to fix a slew of last minute conflicts that spring up amongst the group.
