I waited 20 years for this movie, but was the wait worth it? Well, to some extent, although it could have ended much better, it still picked up the low-quality side from the first part, which is 10 times worse for me compared to this master-piece.
In addition to a lot of elements of illogicality, the collapse of the system in the climax, irrelevant characters, this film was included with a more interesting story and funny jokes. The most expected of long-awaited sequels are references from the first movie, which this sequel had tons of. They weren't forced and they fit perfectly in every scene, even the joke with Azdaja slipped through, which I noticed as a hardcore fan.
What I cannot leave out of mention as praise is the very beginning of this film. Everything went so smooth and awesome. Very good effects, music, introduction to the story and where it led, funny jokes that were plenty... Everything went perfectly, right up to entering the club and meeting Goyko again. From that moment everything falls into the water in the hope that I will leave the cinema satisfied, but again in the second half I almost got tired and almost give up of my perfect Munje experience. Just when they made some drug addict formula, "Kisic Lipsic" (LOTION for the mouth), everything becomes totally UNCLEAR to me. What was the purpose and impact or side effect of that LOTION, except that everyone was eating it like green beans in the form of a drug. From that moment on, everything about the quality of this film crumbles for me and I painfully watch how this turns into a mediocrity that was followed to the very end. Returned home from Vienna, got off the bus and that was it, without any significant win nor achievement nor lesson.
It's all fine and dandy to me, but it will never be clear to me how in these 20 years they didn't listen to the tape, which they chased till the very end of this film, and realized that they were scamed. It's crazy, but I'll let the screenwriters slip througt my fingers on this one.
As for the actors, they did an excellent job, some of them didn't have enough screen time to dominate, and some simply didn't have an important character to play. Like Dragan Marinkovic, who tried his best to be funny, but his poorly written character didn't allow it. He was in the shoes of a totally unlikeable and low-quality villain who was not funny at all. Also a lot of irrelevant characters, like Lola, who just appeared, did a striptease, without any important nostalgic interactions with the main characters. Likewise Razredna, which didn't make me laugh even once, and Narcotic Kristijan Golubovic, which had NO crucial impact on the story or the audience, but they still got the post-credits scene, which is total garbage. You could literally throw out all the characters, except for the three main ones, and the ending would remain unchanged.
And now a little about the main characters. Sergej Jesenin in the role of Pop totally dominated. He was influential right from the start including the humor and I wouldn't hold anything against him. But AGAIN there is Mare who turned out to be a total loser in the position of the main character, which he should be. So from my point of view, this movie had an empty main character spot. I almost forgot Chemists, who were irrelevant from the very beginning, until the very end. So irrelevant that I LITERALLY forgot they existed in the SERBIAN FILM cinematic universe. And Gojko... turned out to be such a SISA in the end!!! At the very beginning he had a very good build, the heroes were getting closer and closer to him and he was a serious threat as a villain, but after the introduction of LOTION, he breaks apart and is replaced by a totally inadequate villain. And until the very end of the film, he almost didn't do anything important, except that he made a truce with his 2 friends, and at the very end, he didn't have any epilogue about the continuation of his career, just like this film.
Oh yes, funny jokes.. Bro... there were a lot of them, and they were funny (of which I counted 47 in total). And they piled up nicely all the way to the LOTION part. Well, that LOSION again, bro LOSION is the real villain here, and his plan didn't failed, he totally ruined this movie.
If the film had invested at least another month of work on the script, it could have easily reached score 7 and disfigured the first part in terms of quality. But AGAIN, after LOTION, I'm absolutely convinced that the screenwriters didn't give a duck. So let's stick to the flat bowl with the round line, because probably without using 2% of your brain cells, you'll be able to watch this movie endlessly and it won't bore you out, at least not until the second half. After 20 years of waiting, I wasn't as disappointed as I expected, and I wasn't very excited either, at least not after the second half.
