Pandi, a chivalrous young man who always takes pride in taming bulls, becomes resolute to tame the bull of the village's big shot Selvasegaran, despite being told not to, oblivious to the repercussions of his impulsive act.
When Pandi tames Selvasegaran's bull, it wounds Selvasegaran's ego. The bull later dies unhappily. Selvasegaran vows revenge on Pandi to regain his pride. His son Veerasegaran seeks to exploit their feud to usurp his father.
Meenakshi's brother angrily denounces Selvasegaran's arrogance to his son. Veerasegaran admits to hating his narcissistic father. They decide to overthrow Selvasegaran and manipulate Pandi to do so.
