The camera used to shoot this movie was purchased at a Best Buy store for under two hundred dollars.
The car that the character 'Lance' was driving actually belonged to actress Kim Kleemichen. It was a 1995 Toyota Camry with over 225,000 miles on it. It did NOT have "leather seats," as one reviewer claimed. The 1995 Toyota Camry could come with vinyl seats, but not leather.
Shot in seven days.
The filmmakers considered shooting this movie at asylums located in such Connecticut towns as Norwich, Newtown, Middletown, Meriden, and Waterbury, but were told by the administrators of the asylums that they couldn't shoot their picture in these places. Fortunately, the filmmakers were finally able to secure the Hunt Center in Stamford, Connecticut as the primary location for the exteriors and interiors of the Oakhurst Sanitarium.
There was a lot of improvisation done in this movie due to the fact that the script was more of an outline than an actual screenplay.
