It was recently announced by Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, at D23 that the Star Wars-themed lands currently under construction at the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts will be named Star Wars: Galaxy Edge. We also have new details, concept art, and a video to show you that gives us our best look yet at that full-scale model that was unveiled a couple days ago. I also have info on the new Star Wars resort that is going to be built! This is everything that a Star Wars fan could ask for! I've been waiting my whole life for a Star Wars playground like this to play in!
Here are all the details from the press release for Star Wars: Galaxy Edge:
The lands, both called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, will allow guests to visit a remote trading port on the edge of wild space,...

Taika Waititi has promised that his Thor movie will be in his hilarious voice, which is exciting to fans of Taika Waititi and apparently worrisome to people who don’t like their superhero movies absurd, winsome, and utterly delightful. Some Twitter users are asking Waititi how he feels about these dissenters. Waititi’s response is the sound of a fart emitting. No, really.

Michael Dudok de Wit’s Oscar-nominated “The Red Turtle” manages to avoid a lot of conflict in telling its animated 2D cycle of life story. However, the face-to face encounter with the eponymous creature represents an early dramatic high point.
Each time the castaway tries to leave the island in his raft, the turtle attacks it, until the third time they finally meet. “It’s not casually being annoying in attacking the raft — it’s clearly motivated, which is really interesting,” de Wit told IndieWire. “It has eye contact with the man. And then the turtle manages to destroy the raft, the man falls in the water, and he’s very uncomfortable being in the water with the turtle. But the turtle just looks intently at him and just swims away.”

Once you leave home, you can never really go back again. That old adage goes double if you happen to have stolen a Tardis and exited stage left because of some business involving a deadly premonition about a hybrid. That kind of departure raises a lot of questions that time has failed to answer; and,...

Producer Robert Evans, circa 1970s, in the documentary The Kid Stays in the Picture.
Robert Evans: The Kid Is Alright

I interviewed legendary Hollywood producer Robert Evans in 2002 for Venice Magazine, in conjunction with the release of the documentary "The Kid Stays in the Picture," adapted from his iconic autobiography and audiobook. Our chat took place at Woodland, Evans' storied estate in Beverly Hills, in his equally famous screening room, which mysteriously burned down a couple years later. Evans was still physically frail, having recently survived a series of strokes, but his mind, his wit and his charm were sharp as ever, with near total recall for people, places and stories. Many, many stories. Here are a few of them.
It’s a widely-held belief that the years 1967-76 represent the “golden age” of American cinema. Just look at a few of these titles: Rosemary’s Baby,...
