I'm a big fan of Becoming Sophie for a few reasons. It's visually stunning being filmed somewhere in France that really makes me want to go. I really am a fan of the abroad but at home feel, and it's almost like I'm able to take a mini- vacation, get a glimpse of French small village culture, and watch an excellent film all at once.

The shots are really nicely done, and the dialogue is really captivating. The story is great, the characters are REAL real, and there's a huge dollop of authenticity in every bit of the film. The music is really fitting of the film in all ways, and really contributes to the overall effect of the piece. The Caillaud-Jones sisters brought it home on this one. I would recommend watching it on a calm night, some wine or food or anything really would be nice.
