Sex & Nudity

  • Dante is implied to be nude after spending the night with a couple strippers and, using manipulated camera angles, his masculine parts are never seen. While he's getting his clothes, the manipulated angles can be humorous. Certain taunts are sexual in nature.

Violence & Gore

  • Very heavy violence. Gunshots by dual pistols and a shotgun. A war hammer is used to smash and kill, same with a scythe, a sword, and other exotic weapons.
  • Frequent and copious amounts of blood is shown, some of which, during cutscenes, can be quite shocking.

Profanity

  • Way much more profanity than you'd find in the mainline DMC games.
  • Frequent swearing, mostly by Dante and his enemies, Mundus and the Succubus.
  • Most of Dante's taunts and insults to his enemies include heavy swearing, same with the Succubus.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There is a drug reference in the game, where one character is called a "crack whore."

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The lead character Dante can slice, dice, and shoot demonic enemies until they're in pieces.
  • Slow-motion effects dramatize the action, too.
  • Cutscene sequences can also be violent.
