Not as good as the Christmas special, but a few twists

NOTE It is best to watch all the Madame Blanc episodes in order for the bigger story arcs. This episode has a good amount of plot content, especially as this series is a 40ish minute format. Some bits work better than other - ie the more original ideas but not the content many shows are covering, which has now become too predictable. I'm slightly worried that, like the last 3 episodes of Season 1, some of secondary and tertiary characters' are squeezing out Mme Blanc a bit - there are a lot of regular/recurring characters for a mystery show. It is a fine line as to whether this cast size is genius and original or a distraction from the title character.

Madame Blank mystery
coltras3519 October 2023
Judith orders Jeremy to sleep on their cruiser after he has too many drinks with the boys; the next morning, he clambers out of the cabin and trips over the dead body of a young woman, and inspector Caron's only clue is a Victorian comb in her pocket. Jeremy stumbles upon the body of a dead woman. The only clue to her identity is a Victorian comb in her pocket. Jean realises it's a cake comb, but what would she be doing with that?

A rather light-hearted and adequately done mystery with Sally Lindsay getting involved in a murdered lady found on the deck of a boat. The dialogue is a bit flat, the plot is merely adequate, but this episode lacks some punch.

Warning: Spoilers
Jeremy Lloyd James has a drunken night out and wakes up in his boat finding the body of a dead woman.

He fears that his wife Judith thinks he was up to no good.

The dead woman worked as an assistant cook for celebrity chef Vernon Bradley who quickly becomes a suspect.

The victim died because of a nut allergy, it was introduced in her food. The celebrity chef Vernon Bradley has the same allergy.

Once it was established that both the dead woman and Bradley had a nut allergy, then it was likely that the wrong person died. Bradley had to be the real target.

The mystery goes off kilter when the second murder attempt takes place, a hit and run in a public place.
