When Calls The Heart star Jack Wagner is a household name among Hallmark Channel viewers. But, way before he joined the Wcth cast, he was a rocker and soap opera star. General Hospital fan fave Frisco Wagner was wildly popular back in the soap’s heydays.
Recently Jack Wagner sat down with People Magazine to reflect on his impressive career, and what he has learned in Hollywood and in his personal life over the decades.
A Look Back At Jack Wagner’s Career
Can you believe that Jack Wagner is 64 years old now? Wagner made his big acting debut on General Hospital back in 1984, and appeared as Frisco Jones up until 1991.
He returned in the mid 90’s for several episodes. Then in 2013 Gh fans were thrilled when Jack Wagner made a surprise return, although it was very brief.

With his latest film, Blackout (not to be confused with The Blackout), Larry Fessenden finally gets around to tackling the werewolf mythos. He’s dealt with vampires in Habit, Frankenstein and his creation in Depraved, and even the Wendigo in the film of the same name. Now he ventures to Talbot Falls, I wonder where he got that name from, for a tale of lycanthropy, small town corruption and what it means to be human.
Blackout begins traditionally enough for a horror film with a couple having sex outdoors, running afoul of a large, hairy creature before introducing us to Charley. He’s an artist with a drinking problem, or at least that’s what he tells people is the cause of his monthly blackouts. Of course, he,...

Austin, TX – The 2024Sxsw Conference and Festivals wrapped on March 16th, after nine days of magic and Austin wackiness, showcasing film, TV, interactive, conferences, interviews and music. The Film & TV Fest named “Bob Trevino Likes It” as the top Narrative Feature and “Marvin is Sorry” as top TV Pilot.
The Narrative Jury included Chicago critic Robert Daniels. The Jury’s statement about “Bob Trevino Likes It” was “Tracie Laymon’s semi-autobiographical story of a struggling young woman who finds anchor in an unlikely connection feels at once familiar and yet surprising. Laymon’s sure hand transforms what might have been saccharine into something raw thanks to vulnerable lead performances from Barbie Ferreira and an unusually uncool John Leguizamo. Refreshingly real and wrenchingly bittersweet, “Bob Trevino Likes It” stole our hearts and earned this prize.”

While there are still several days of buzzy film premieres remaining at SXSW 2024, all of the films playing in competition have screened for audiences and critics. The film festival’s jury announced the winners of the festival’s major awards on Thursday, giving out prizes for narrative feature, documentary feature, and a variety of short, episodic, and Xr categories.
The narrative feature competition was won by “Bob Trevino Likes It,” Tracie Laymon’s dramedy that stars Barbie Ferreira as a young woman who seeks to heal wounds from her relationship with her abusive father by befriending an unrelated man with the exact same name (John Leguizamo).
The top documentary prize went to Sam Crane and Pinny Grylls’ groundbreaking documentary “Grand Theft Hamlet,” which followed a group of actors staging a production of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” inside “Grand Theft Auto Online” during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Adam Lambert is raising the beats per minute on his new song “Wet Dream,” which just might be his raunchiest release to date.

In his time away, he’s reinvented his sound, and he’s back with a sexy dance track with a dizzying production and some sexy lyrics. By the sound of it, he’s got even more to come, too!

Sublime with Rome have unveiled their latest EP, Tangerine Skies, featuring four sunshiney, new songs from the band. Stream it below.
Produced by the band’s Rome Ramirez, the tracks on Tangerine Skies capture the California ska sound that Sublime perfected three decades ago, with syncopated guitars, grooving beats, and strong vocal melodies. Lyrically, the songs allude to feelings of pain and confusion, but balance out the difficulties of life with its joys, ultimately landing on a message embracing peace and contentedness.
The title track conveys this perfectly, pairing a mid-tempo, acoustic guitar-led arrangement with lines like: “I learned to love the small things/ Had to learn to let it go/ Many rivers I have yet to cross/ But I know that I’m on the right road/ And I know I’m gonna get there.” Stream the EP and check out the music video for the title track below.

Content warning: This article contains mentions of rape and sexual harassment.
On Aug. 13, 1995, The New York Times published an article about Method Man and Mary J. Blige's iconic hip-hop and R&b duet "All I Need," stamped the "No. 1 Summer Song of Love" at the time. The publication credited former Def Jam Recordings CEO Lyor Cohen for persuading the Wu-Tang Clan rapper to rerecord his original song (off his 1994 "Tical" album) with the queen of hip-hop soul, with Cohen giving a detailed account of how he allegedly did so.
Nowhere does the article mention former Def Jam A&r executive Drew Dixon, who says she's the real brains behind "hip-hop's greatest love song"; she was never officially credited for birthing the idea or for the literal groundwork she did to make it come to fruition.
At the height of Dixon's burgeoning career in the '90s, she oversaw...

Back in June, Luke Combs posted a photo to Instagram of himself wearing a T-shirt for the band 49 Winchester. It was a mark of validation for the Castlewood, Virginia, group, a sign that their brand of country, folk, and soul was breaking through and finding fans — including one who just happened to be the biggest star in country music.
But a little more than two years earlier, 49 Winchester were just a bunch of scruffy Southern Appalachian musicians hoping to gain traction on the musical road to somewhere, anywhere. At their...

Roses are so last season. In a recap of what appears to be her and A$AP Rocky's Valentine's Day, pregnant Rihanna gave fans a look inside their quirky celebrations, which included a bouquet made of Legos. Earl Sweatshirt has debuted a new single, “2010,” the rapper’s first solo release since 2019. The track, produced by Black Noi$e, is accompanied by an intimate music video directed by Ryosuke Tanzawa.
The single sees the rapper hitting lyrics about his humble beginnings and reflecting on his trajectory of success to date. “Threw me loose changе/Look at what I made of it,” Sweatshirt boasts on the song.
Fans had been speculating about the song’s release after Sweatshirt revealed coordinates that lead fans to cryptic billboards with an augmented reality filter.

Jayda G adds a fresh sheen to the classic sounds of Nineties Basement Boys productions — think Ann Nesby and Sublevel — on “All I Need,” a springy collaboration with James Ford. The single follows last year’s “Both of Us,” a piano-house juggernaut that would have surely been playing on most dance floors if clubs had been in use at the time.
The video for “All I Need” zooms back and forth between footage of an old rave in British Columbia and shots of Jayda G dancing happily in the same location.

Like nearly everything else, late-night musical performances don’t look the way they did a year ago. It’s not just that musicians in these contexts are playing to mostly vacant studios or places with a single-digit number of audience members.
It’s that a growing number of artists and bands with spots on network talk shows are slowly figuring out a new form that exists somewhere between concert and music video. Of course, that’s a line that was pushed well before last spring. (Take Spike Jonze’s live-to-tape video for Karen O & Danger Mouse’s “Woman” or Travis Scott’s euphoric “goosebumps” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”) But what used to be a rare occurence has inched a lot closer towards the norm. With packed studios still a possibility in the distance, this new way of bringing music to these shows is giving musical acts and the shows they...

The R&b field at the Grammys is often one of the most competitive. This year we have everything from surprise newcomers to established veterans all in the running for gold. So let’s dive in to figure out who will win and who could potentially upset.
SEELuke James on his Grammy nomination for ‘To Feel Love/d’ and why this album felt like his ’emancipation’ [Exclusive Video Interview]
Best R&b Performance
This is probably an easy win for Beyoncé with “Black Parade.” The song is nominated for three other awards, including Record and Song of the Year, and it’s the only nominee in this category to get into Best R&b Song. However, watch out for an upset, since past artists like Rihanna and H.E.R. have lost here despite nominations in the general field.

With the 2021 Grammy Award ceremony set to be on January 31, 2021, we’re excited to see what’s in store for this year’s show, especially given the current pandemic circumstances. Here are a couple of things I hope to see come next month.
SEELuke James on his Grammy nomination for ‘To Feel Love/d’ and why this album felt like his ’emancipation’ [Exclusive Video Interview]
1. Fewer performances, more awards
Listen, as much as I love those unique Grammy moments every year, do we really need that many performances? The Grammys are still, you know, an awards show, so why not give out more awards during the primetime broadcast instead of presenting almost all of them at the Premiere Ceremony that streams online earlier in the day? Maybe they can limit the performers to general field nominees (which is plenty since there are eight nominees in each of those categories), or maybe do one performance per award.

It's been a wild roller coaster of a year, but the one thing we've been able to count on is an abundance of great music releases. Nearly 50 years after it aired its final episode in 1971, the legendary Ed Sullivan Show is officially headed to all streaming platforms.
From the Beatles’ debut to Elvis Presley to the Rolling Stones, iconic clips and low-resolution bootlegs of the variety show have been available for years, but this marks the first time the entire catalogue will be available digitally — thanks to a deal between UMe and Sofa Entertainment Inc.

What would you do if you had access to soundwaves hours after they had been created - if you could hear what had been said in the recent past? Shy teenage electrician Ben (Hunter Doohan) has built a form of radio that will let him do just that, but for the most part all he does is play around with it, spying on passers-by and neighbours like Katie without it really occurring to him that this might be rude. He occasionally tries to be useful by helping a detective (Vince Nappo) to solve crimes, but when the detective's plans to make them both rich by marketing the invention attract men who have said things they'd rather stayed secret, trouble is sure to follow.

“Tried everything to set me free,” Townes Van Zandt sings in the opening line to “All I Need,” “but my chains keep playing tricks on me.” On Sky Blue, the new archival release from the Van Zandt estate, those twin emotions — mournful hope and self-harming despair — are on full display on an 11-song album that illustrates both the sustained formal genius and flailing aimlessness of the late, great country poet. When Joy Williams sat down to work on material for her new album, she had a bit of an epiphany. “I remember saying, whatever this project is, if I can’t play it on a front porch, it’s probably not for me,” Williams told Rolling Stone this past April. With the assistance of producer Kenneth Pattengale of the Milk Carton Kids and engineer Matt Ross-Spang, Williams made an album, aptly titled Front Porch (due May 3rd on Sensibility/Thirty Tigers), that could be just that — music carried by primarily acoustic instruments and her ethereal,...

Townes Van Zandt sings about a quest for freedom on the folky “All I Need,” a previously unreleased song from an upcoming posthumous collection, Sky Blue. The archival set is due out March 7th – what would have been the singer-songwriter’s 75th birthday – via Tvz Records and Fat Possum Records.
“Tried everything to set me free,” Van Zandt softly sings on the track over aggressive acoustic strums. “But my chains keep playing tricks on me/And all I need is a place to lay ’em down.”

Mumford & Sons served as the secret Saturday night headliner at the Newport Folk Festival, where the British band played a 15-song set packed with unexpected covers and surprise guests.
Midway through their set, Mumford & Sons deviated from their usual set list to debut their cover of Radiohead‘s In Rainbows song “All I Need” with guest Phoebe Bridges.
Soon after, the band welcomed Brandi Carlile onstage for a pair of covers, Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Boxer” and the Mumford-associated New Basement Tapes’ Bob Dylan-penned “Kansas City.” To open their set,...

Radiohead’s summer U.S. tour seems designed to prove a few self-evident truths. For one thing, In Rainbows remains their hands-down best album, though all votes for Kid A will be counted and “There There” is their peak song. For another thing: They’ve remembered how much fun it is to be the World’s Greatest Rock Band, to the point where their live show is a mad career-capping rush of exuberant energy. Their four-night run at New York’s Madison Square Garden last week was one for the ages.

Hits on the radio change every year, but we’ll always have the Kroq Weenie Roast.
The annual music-festival staple entered its 26th year on Saturday, boasting an impressive lineup that included Blink-182, Panic! at the Disco, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Dirty Heads, Rise Against, Mt Joy, James Bay, Awolnation and the War on Drugs. Following are some highlights from the one-day bash at the Stubhub Center in Carlson, Calif.
Headlining Hype
If Blink-182 is tired of playing its old hits, it doesn’t show. While the closing set of the night did include some of their new music — including “Misery,” right at the start — the band mostly rolled through crowd favorites from late ’90s and early ’00s. And while Blink, after about 20 years of touring, runs like a well-oiled machine, seeing the rock band is really more of a communal experience. Everyone knows the words to “What’s My Age Again,...

Millie Bobby Brown’s got more skills than Eleven! The 13-year-old Stranger Things actress visited The Tonight Show on Tuesday to promote the Netflix show’s second season.
She decided to recap the beloved series' first season in an epic rap.
“Let’s go back to Indiana circa 1983, just four boys in the basement, chillin’ playing D&D,” she began, effortlessly rapping in her jumpsuit. “There was Lucas, there was Willy Will, and Dustin, there was Mike. But one night Will goes missing while he’s riding on his bike. Yes, that’s when they met me, Eleven. I had no hair on my head. I had been so close to dead.”
She continued, finally referencing her character’s signature traits, rapping, “All I need is my Eggo waffles, I’m in love with those. What I’m left with when I use my powers is a bloody nose.”

Legendary glam/punk photographer Mick Rock is a primary player in music/ rock history, having provided some of the most iconic rock imagery to grace the careers and album covers of artists like Bowie, Blondie, Lou Reed, Queen and Iggy Pop.
Rock captured key moments from classic concerts including that iconic shot of Bowie performing fellatio on Mick Ronson’s guitar during the Ziggy Stardust era. He also designed the album covers of Bowie’s Space Oddity, Lou Reed’s Transformer, Iggy and The Stooges’ Raw Power and directed many of Bowie’s music videos.
Rock’s unruly work Mo was also a lifestyle choice. Integrating hard partying and meditation into his photography/practice by saturating himself in the event he was covering instead of adopting the role of a passive observer, yet Rock provided some outstanding imagery as a result.

All I Need is the name of a hit Jack Wagner song from the 80s and also the completely nonhorror sounding title of a horror film from last year and that film is the discussion at hand. And now that I have that 80s gem running through your head lets talk about All I Need the horror film. Chloe (Caitlin Stasey) wakes up in a strange place in only her underwear gagged and with her arms tied behind her back. It looks to be a rundown nasty hotel room. On the floor and beds around her are other young women some dead some just unconscious also in their drawers and bound. Its an exciting setup.
