Contrary to what is shown and discussed the vocal cords run horizontally not vertically in the throat. They are on average only 3/4" to 1" in length. Thus it would be impossible to treat and play them like strings.
In the fireplace seen with the animal trapped in Will's chimney, he used a claw hammer to break through a brick fireplace. In no universe could just a claw hammer do the job. You would have needed at least a sledge hammer plus other tools/equipment possible.
The close-ups make it evident that the cello is not being played at all.
